JANUARY 2018 I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you ll get God s everything. Jesus, Mark 11:24, The Message At Central we believe prayer is foundational to spiritual growth and effectiveness and is intended to permeate every aspect of our individual and corporate lives. Communion with the Spirit through prayer is an essential component of growing deeper With God, In Community, and On Mission. Prayer realigns our will to the Father s and is the pathway to experiencing God s empowering presence as we Amplify the Hope and Life of Jesus to All. Partnering with others in prayer is one of the great and necessary privileges of living in Christ-centered community. We are committed to providing a variety of opportunities to answer Jesus call to PRAY. PRAYER OPPORTUNITIES: Our Church-Wide Prayer Group gathers every Tuesday at 7PM in the Legacy Room. All those middle school age and above are welcome. Visit our Prayer Wall at centralwesleyan.org/prayerwall. Sign up to receive emails with the latest requests and encourage those in need by posting your prayers right on the wall! Need prayer or help determining your next right step? WITH GOD Radical Minimum Message Series Sundays, January 14-February 4 The New Year brings all sort of expectations, pressures and plans. Have you thought about what hopes you have for your spiritual journey this year? This 4-week series will explore how to proactively pursue spiritual growth, as individuals and as a community, this year. Interested in Baptism? On Sunday, February 11, during both morning services, we will be celebrating Baptism. There will be an info meeting on January 28 and February 4 after each service in Room W286. IN COMMUNITY On Jan. 29, we are launching The Landing, a Celebrate Recovery program for students! The Landing is meant to walk with teens through hurts, hang-ups and habits. The Landing will be a safe and confidential place where they can feel welcomed and supported, just as they are. We will meet every Monday night in room C161 at 6:30PM.
