Check out these Two Inpirational New Books on our Kiosk! Dr. Peter Kreeft uses Scripture to provide God s profound answers to the most common and important questions young people ask about the deeper meaning of life, their own identities, overcoming failure and temptation, the mystery of Gods love and much more. But these are questions asked not just by the young they are the same questions adults often ask, and God s answers, as found in the Bible, will respond to the deepest needs of people of all ages. Modern technology has brought powerful challenges to our interior peace and well-being. We re experiencing a world wide crisis of attention in which information overwhelms us, corrodes true communion with others and leaves us anxious, unsettled, bored, isolated and lonely. This book offers a calm, measured and effective approach to regaining interior peace, without having to retreat from the world s communication chaos. The wisdom of the world s greatest thinkers, including Plato, Aristotle, St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas show us how to cultivate the qualities of character we need to survive in our media-saturated environment. More information and other CD and Book titles can be found on our parish website link at www.stclarechurch.org under the Lighthouse logo. Mp3 formats can be purchased through this link! Feast of Divine Mercy April 8 Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament Blessing of Divine Mercy Images (bring your picture) Sacrament of Reconciliation Devotional Prayers Adoration Chaplet of Divine Mercy Benediction Veneration of a 1st Class Relic of St. Faustina Kowalska Join us in praying the Divine Mercy Novena at St. Clare Parish starting on Good Friday, March 30 at 2:30 and continuing the next 8 days at 3 p.m. Tradition of Veiling the Cross and Statues The custom of veiling the Cross and statues is meant to simplify the worship space to concentrate (internally) on the great essentials of Christ s work of Redemption. The intent of this tradition is to create a spiritual hunger to see the face of our Savior, Jesus Christ, once again at Easter. The covering of the cross and other spiritual images makes the celebration of Easter much more significant.
