Parish Outreach Ministry Have you ever wondered about the people your donations help? Many times our clients are hardworking people who have jobs that pay minimum wage. As you know, an illness can happen to anyone of us. Unfortunately, when our clients become ill and are unable to work, they have no back up savings since they live paycheck to paycheck. Many find it difficult to ask for help. We recently helped a family whose Dad was hospitalized with Crohn s disease. We were able to ensure they had electricity in their home. We want to thank you all again for caring for the less fortunate. Don t Forget-next week is Outreach Sunday!! Parish Men's Group The Men's Group will meet this Thursday, May 3 rd, at 7 pm, in the Activity Center. We continue the Alpha series. This month's topic is: "What about the Church?". If you haven't attended other sessions, we invite you to come and join us. We begin with a light meal, followed by a video presentation and discussion. If you're looking for something to deepen your faith, please consider attending the Men's Group. The Wild Goose Series Mondays 6:00 7:00 pm, Bldg. A Monday, April 30 th - The Spirit s Freedom American Heritage Girls Want to go camping, climb rock walls, shoot BBs, earn badges, make new friends and learn new skills like sewing, cooking and archery? When the Son sets you free you are free indeed Jn 8:36 The Holy Spirit brings freedom from fear, anger, and the past. So often Christians find themselves bound by so many things and are not aware that the Holy Spirit wants to bring the freedom of God to them. Many are slaves to anger, envy, jealousy, comparisons, and addictions. You do not have to live life like that. In this segment we will discuss how the Holy Spirit can bring you greater freedom....freedom is the ability to live responsibly the truth of our relationship with God and with one another. Pope St. John Paul II Sacred Heart Parish offers sympathy to the family of Antoinette Coss, who died recently. The Parish extends its congratulations to the family of Evelyn Louise Hutchinson, who was recently baptized.
