Attention Parents The message below was read to students on Wednesday afternoon. We would like to speak to those involved in the water gun assassin s game. We are asking for your help in regards to the concerns surrounding the appropriateness and safety of this game which are particularly heightened at this time due to the recent school shootings around the country. As educators, community leaders and parents, we are informing any students who may be playing this game of its inherent dangers and appeal to your sense of compassion and respect for the senseless deaths of the students and faculty around the country. The Springfield Police department would like to remind everyone that this conduct is inherently dangerous. People who are not involved in this game, including local police, do not know the specific intent when responding to calls of this nature. Many of these water guns are look-a- likes and these individuals should also be aware that this behavior could be considered criminal conduct and that local police will treat it as such. On behalf of Sacred Heart Griffin High School, because we are a Catholic community, and out of respect for the lives lost around the country, we are appealing for your help in this matter. MARK YOUR CALENDARS: -On Thursday, March 15 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Sacred Heart-Griffin High School will host an informational gathering for families who wish to learn about the various student support services that
