Cold Springs Preschool is open for registration for the 2018-2019 school year. We have a wonderful, caring preschool and would love the opportunity to have your 1-5 year old enrolled. A registration form is on our website coldspringsumc.org, then click the preschool tab. Please call 704-782-1875 and Carol Hendry, the Preschool Director, will be happy to schedule a tour or answer questions. Wednesday Night Meals are returning, beginning Wednesday, January 10. The Cubs and Boys Scouts of Cold Springs UMC are fundraising for their various events/trips and they will be sponsoring the meals. Meals will be served from 5:30pm 7:00pm. Please indicate on the weekly attendance sheet or call the church office (adminassist@coldspringsumc.org or 704-782-1811) by noon on Mondays to sign up. February 7: Country Style Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans February 14: Baked Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Green Beans February 21: Spaghetti & Salad February 28: Chicken & Dumplings, Cornbread M.Y. Heart's ministry is collecting supplies to make blessing bags for the homeless. These items include such things as pocket Bibles, travel shampoos, conditioners, soap, and other necessities. A green bin is located under the mailboxes in the hallway behind the sanctuary and in the narthex. A list of other items are located on the flyer at these collection bins. If you have questions about this new outreach, email Julie Love at jaxandcb@yahoo.com. We are in need of WEE WORSHIP volunteers during the 8:45am service. If you have any questions about this ministry, please contact Tonya Caldwell. Cold Springs Preschool is selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts as a fundraiser. The cost is $8/dozen and will be at the preschool on Monday, February 12. Pastor Tony has volunteered to deliver the pre-ordered doughnuts to you in the event you aren t able to pick them up on the 12th. Orders are due by February 7 and must be paid for at time of order. Please see Lynne Helms or come by the church office by February 7 to place and pay for your order. This is a great way to support our preschool and have a delicious doughnuts at the same time!
For several years, United Methodist Women have made and donated Easter Baskets to Mt. Pleasant Food Ministry. We would like to collect enough supplies to make 60 baskets this year. We need to have them ready by Sunday, February 25. If you would like to help, below is a list of items needed or a monetary donation will be used to purchase these items. Collection boxes will be in the back hall or donations should be marked as UMW Easter Basket project and placed in the offering or given to church office. Thank you for giving to the children of our community. For additional information or questions, contact Annette Hammill (704)279-3697.
