4 Cold Springs Preschool is open for registration for the school year. We have a wonderful, caring preschool and would love the opportunity to have your 1-5 year old enrolled. A registration form is on our website coldspringsumc.org, then click the preschool tab. Please call and Carol Hendry, the Preschool Director, will be happy to schedule a tour or answer questions. The 2019 flower calendar has been posted on the bulletin board in the back hallway by the mailboxes. Please feel free to sign up for any dates available. Discover the God who cherishes you. Jennifer Rothschild has a story for you. It s about an unlikely couple, an unusual courtship, and an illicit affair. But the marriage didn t end, instead, a love story began. Ladies, please join us each Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. beginning Wednesday, January 16, through Wednesday, February 27, 2019 for Jennifer Rothschild s study Hosea: Unfailing Love Changes Everything. The deadline to sign up for this study is Sunday, January 6, You may sign up on the attendance sheets in the bulletin, by calling the church office , by calling Kay Jones or or ing Kay3tom12@carolina.rr.com. The cost for this study will be approximately $14.00 for the study book. We will be meeting in Conference Room #2. If you know of someone who would be interested in this study, please invite them to join us. The Mae Barnhardt subgroup will meet on Monday, January 14 at 10:00am in Conference Room #2. This meeting will be the make-up date for the meeting that was cancelled due to inclement weather. We will have our Christmas celebration at this time.

5 SCOUTING FOR FOOD: Pack 5 and Troop 5 will be participating in Scouting for Food on 1/26 and 2/2. Grocery bags will be dropped off in several neighborhoods surrounding the Church and Main Street in Mt. Pleasant on 1/26 and picked up on 2/2. However, we invite you to help by dropping off food items in the box under the Church mailboxes before 1/27. Our Pack and Troop are the only Scouts in the county who deliver the collected food directly to the Mt. Pleasant Food Pantry and it is very much needed after the Holiday season. Suggested items are Mac and Cheese, canned meats, toilet paper, paper towels, rice, cereal, sugar. Your help is appreciated. Pack 5 and Troop 5 The Invisible Woman 1 st Quarter Praise & Worship Gathering Sunday, January 20 th, 2019 from 3:00 5:00 pm Life can seem overwhelming with the responsibilities placed on women as they fulfill their roles for family, work and church. As you juggle the balls to meet deadlines, do you often feel overlooked or invisible? Does anyone notice your efforts to keep things running smoothly? While it may seem that no one around you notices, you can trust that God sees everything you do. Jannette Kluttz will be our speaker. Please join us as she offers thoughts on the work we do each day. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. 7 HELP SEND OUR KIDS AND YOUTH TO CAMP It costs about $60 per day or $300 for the 5-day experience to send a kid to CentriKids or FUGE camps. The 3 rd -5 th graders stay on campus for all their experiences including worship, bible study, and activities! In addition to worship & bible study, most of the middle & high school campers go off campus 3 days to do mission work which they all say is very rewarding experience whether they work with kids or work in the construction field. Please consider donating to the CAMP FUND today! Thank you for investing in the kids! 90 th Birthday Celebration for Rev. Heart's ministry is collecting supplies to make blessing bags for the homeless. These items include such things as pocket Bibles, travel shampoos, conditioners, soap, and other necessities. A green bin is located under the mailboxes in the hallway behind the sanctuary and in the narthex. A list of other items are located on the flyer at these collection bins. If you have questions about this new outreach, Julie Love at jaxandcb@yahoo.com. Current need: Cold weather items such as toboggan hats, scarfs, thick socks, thermal underwear or white undershirts for men, and gloves. Hot hands also work well.
