The Council has also scheduled collections for this activity after all Masses for the following weekend, June 10 th and 11 th. I ask that whatever Mass you plan to attend, please make yourself available after Communion to help collect. With Father s Day on Sunday, June 18 th, we will be distributing American flag lapel pins to fathers, grandfathers, uncles and godfathers after all Masses over the June 17 th and 18 th weekend. Once again, your assistance will be most appreciated. Let s continue to pray for the deceased men of our family. For all who attended our last Business Meeting, we heard a very moving and emotional speech from our Religious and Civil Rights Chairman, PGK Bill Tronolone. Brother Bill shared with us how important our time on Earth is with our loved ones, and we should cherish each moment by telling and showing our true feelings, because one day it may be too late to do so. Vivat Jesus, Ed Visinski, Grand Knight

A Golden Jubilee Day On Sunday, May 7 th, your FDD, Brother Joseph Sabella, had the honor to participate as a Color Corps member in the observation of the 50th Anniversary of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville, NJ. The church is the parish where my son, Michael worships. Celebrating the noon Mass was the Most Reverend James F. Checchio, Bishop of the diocese of Metuchen. K of C State Officers in attendance included Bruce De Molli, State Deputy; Robert E. Hatler, State Secretary and Vincent P. Tavormina, State Treasurer. Following the Mass, the congregation and dignitaries were invited downstairs to the Parish Hall for a Golden Jubilee lunch. The Grand Knight, Ronald Christensen of Our Lady of the Hills Council 5959 based at the church, said the Knights appreciate the loyal support of sponsors, parishioners, wives and friends. It was a most enjoyable day. Fraternally, Joseph L. Sabella, PGK, PFN, FDD June 2017 Newsletter - Page 2

Nativity of Our Lord Council 14658, Monroe Twp. New Jersey We are a small Council of 175 dedicated Brothers and in the last two years have held fund raisers where we donated $15,000 to our church, The Nativity of Our Lord. Of that total, 00 went to the purchase of a Welcoming Jesus" statue imported from Italy. The remaining 00 was used to purchase new kitchen equipment to replace items that were more than 21 years old. These new appliances will make life easier and assist with all the Church Ministry events, such as special Communion Breakfasts for the communicants and parishioners, etc. Vivat Jesus, Frank Macchiaroli, Deputy Grand Knight June 2017 Newsletter - Page 3
