THANKSGIVING & BAPTISM CLASS The next class will be held today at 5.00pm in the Cafe Area for parents requesting thanksgiving or baptism for their infants. CONNECT is our Bible Class for 1st - 4th years. We meet every Sunday morning in the Youth Area of the Church Centre. FUSION is for 11-18 year olds meeting tonight at 8.15pm in the Youth Area. NARNIA THANK YOU On behalf of the Discipleship Core Team I would like to thank everyone who made the Narnia Picnic happen last Sunday. The willingness of so many people to be open handed with their resources, time and skills is characteristic of our church family. There are far too many people to mention names individually but volunteers were all responsible for: planning, design, sourcing props, creating the lamppost, spraying tree branches, donating wood, modifying a wardrobe, set up of the hall, craft, games, drinks, buns, take down, tidy up and a whole range of other jobs! Thanks too has to go to you the congregation for supporting this event by coming along. To make it better next year, we ll get a real lion! Michael Wylie LITTLE STARS Little stars are having their Christmas party Friday 9 December at Playzone, Valley Leisure Centre 6.00pm-8.00pm, including softplay,craft and a special visitor in a big red suit! Christmas crafts will be demonstrated by Carolyn Arnold. We will be celebrating Jesus birth with readings and carols by some of our members followed by supper for our final meet.ing this year. TOTS & CO At Carnmoney Tots & Co we aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere within a safe environment where parents, carers and their children can play and socialise alongside each other. Every Wednesday in the Sports Hall from 10.00am - 11.30am for newborn infants to preschool children. CHAT N PLAY will meet on Wednesday 7 December in the Meeting Room on the first floor. This week Valerie Wilson from the Ulster Folk Museum will be displaying clothes worn by ladies from Victorian times. All ladies welcome. AFTERNOON TEA Members of the congregation who are making their own transport arrangements to the Templeton Hotel for Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 7 December are asked to be seated for 2.00pm.

This week will see most of the groups have their final time together in 2016. We ll be back again on Wednesday 11 January at 7.30pm in the church for a Discipleship Community Together event. I56 PRAYER i56 Prayer is the 24/7 Prayer Movement in Carnmoney Church and our House of Prayer on the Ballyclare Road is the regular hub where many retreat, resource and respond. The house re-opens in October after an annual summer break so if you had a regular slot before the summer and want to continue with that time (or find a new time) please contact Ben 07843661481 i56@carnmoney. org to book your slot. Our weekly rhythm calendar starts from scratch at the beginning of each year. Similarly if you have never spent time in i56 and want to find what it is and how you can connect with it, contact Ben for more info. Call free on 0800 328 0006 www.capuk.org Daniel Black Centre Manager 0798 3420018 NEWTOWNABBEY FOODBANK CHRISTMAS APPEAL Newtownabbey Foodbank will be making up its usual Christmas hampers and would appreciate donations of tins of biscuits and shortbread from our congregation. Last year your generosity helped us to provide much needed Christmas cheer for many families in Newtownabbey. Donations can be made by leaving them in the trolley in the church. Thank you for your continued support. Mina NEWTOWNABBEY FOOD BANK Although a voucher system is in place this does not affect donations from our Church. The trolley will still operate with all food going to the Warehouse for preparation and distribution. There is a food collection point in Tesco, Northcott, please share this with your friends and support us if you can. FINANCE UPDATE We are coming to the end of year again and while we can receive monies into the Church accounts up to 31 December, the last Sunday on which there will be a weekly collection will be Sunday 25 December. We do not normally have a collection at the Christmas morning service but there will be a collection this year for anyone who wants to contribute to the Church before year end. If you do not normally attend the Christmas morning service then the last Sunday on which you will be able to make a contribution for 2016 will be Sunday 18 December. Can Treasurers of organisations please note that any donations to the Church for heat, light, minibus etc for 2016 should be submitted as soon as possible. Organisation accounts should be submitted to the Church Office by Friday 16 December and we can agree any small adjustments for bank charges or interest that may be required when bank statements are available as at 31 December. We would like bank statements by 3 January as our external audit is scheduled for 18 and 19 January. WHITE RIBBON CAMPAIGN UK is part of a global movement to put a stop to male violence against women and girls. White Ribbon pin badges are available at the Information Desk if anyone would like a badge or to give a donation. WINTER FUEL ALLOWANCE Have you had your winter fuel allowance yet? Is your oil tank already full? Many CAP clients do not have heating oil at present. If you wish to donate please speak to Daniel or Brian.

CHRISTMAS POST CHRISTMAS POST Christmas cards will be delivered to raise funds for the work of the World Development fund which supports the work of Tear Fund and Christian Aid amongst others. There is no minimum charge this year, I would ask that people give what they believe is an appropriate amount. Remember all monies raised will go to a very worthy cause. Someone will be in the new complex to receive your cards from Monday 5 December Friday 9 December between 7.00pm and 9.00pm. Cards can also be left in the box whenever the halls are accessible. Please note we do not deliver in either Doagh or Ballyclare.
