Son of George Givan and Nancy Jordan, husband of Elizabeth Redmon (who died 2 September 1903 and is buried at Salem Cemetery, Liberty,

Tennessee). John s obituary says his funeral service was at Seven Springs, and we assume he is buried at Potter Cemetery, where his brother Lemuel is buried. John is not found at Salem. No tombstone. There are 12 fieldstone markers in this cemetery and 1 stone so badly broken & worn that it is illegible.
