The Lid HAS COME OFF FOR A NEW YEAR OF ALL IN GOD DOUBLED MARYE S INCOME Marye is self employed. She has always been a tither. Before she started her business, she would tithe off of her grocery money. In December 2016, she felt God challenge her to take a step up the giving ladder and go from 10% to 12% in her giving. After a year, Marye compared her monthto-month income from 2016 and 2017. She saw God more than double her income. Even during the typically lean months in her business, she saw double in increases. God is blessing Marye and her family. This summer, two of her children are going on mission trips - 17 year old Nick is going to El Salvador and 14 year old daughter Kyrie is going to Denver. On January 2018, Marye took another step up to 14%. She is excited and ALL IN with what God is doing. 70 PEOPLE CAME TO WATCH ANNIKA GET BAPTIZED Waxahachie High School football player, Bryse Salik was invited by his friends from school to Oaks Youth on January 2016. At the Oaks, he found godly mentors and friends. Bryse has been living for the Lord. He s been to two summer camps, gone on two mission trips and is going to camp and on another mission trip this summer. He has brought several of his friends to church and has seen many of them get saved. In fact, he has personally baptized 11 of them. One of them, Ryan, recently baptized a friend he invited to church. On February 25, Bryse baptized his 10 year old sister, Annika. She was so excited she invited all her friends and loved ones. 70 of them came to see Annika get baptized by her brother! 2

Momentum IN GROWING GENERATIONS Oaks Kids started a 4th service on Sundays. Oaks Youth is setting up chairs each week to accommodate the new students. Oaks Young Adults is meeting weekly in the new auditorium. Powerhouse is continuing to minister to more than 700 students across 5 Life School campuses and is starting new initiatives to minister to more families. Youth 2.0 is a biblically foundational curriculum we developed with 15 other churches that is relevant to the next generation. It is launching to churches across the United States through our partnership with One Hope. Momentum IN TRANSFORMING COMMUNITIES LOCALLY We are continuing to work towards making Ellis County a county where there are more families waiting for foster children than foster children waiting for families. In partnership with Waxahachie Project, we are helping launch an online portal where people in the community with needs are connected with the resources they are looking for. We are hosting the Church Multiplication Network Conference in March 2019. US Church plants We are partnering with the Church Multiplication Network to plant churches in the following U.S. cities: Queen Creek, AZ Washington DC Oakland, CA Oakland California is the fastest growing city in the bay area for young families with a population of 420,000 within the city limits, and greater population of over 7 million in the surrounding area. People have asked us: Why Oakland? It s so expensive. It s not a church friendly city Our answer: God asked us, we said yes. Tylor and Nicole Hagan, Church Planters, Oakland, CA GLOBALLY We are partnering with Freedom Fellowship to plant churches in the following international cities: Barcelona, Spain Cairo, Egypt Tunis, Tunisia Hanoi, Vietnam We are excited about planting the first Assemblies of God district headquarters, church and seminary in Vietnam in partnership with the Oaks. John Bates, Senior Pastor Freedom Fellowship In partnership with International Christian Center in Kenya, we are launching Oaks School of Leadership with 60 ministry leadership students this fall and 150 students in 2019. In partnership with John Maxwell s Equip: Transformational Leadership Program we have a goal to see one million souls won to Jesus each year. 3

DAILY DEVOTIONALS Week 1 CELEBRATE GOD S FAITHFULNESS DAY 1 Psalm 103:1 2 NLT Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. What does praising God with all that I am look like to you? How is praising God displayed outwardly in your life? How is it shown inwardly? What can you do to never forget his promises? DAY 2 Psalm 34:1 2 NLT I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are helpless take heart. How often do you constantly speak his praises? What is one thing you are grateful to the Lord for today? Ask God to help you find a moment to tell someone today. DAY 3 DAY 4 DAY 5 1 Chronicles 16:34 ESV Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! 2 Corinthians 9:10 11 NIV Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. Psalm 136:1 NLT Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Steadfast means resolute, firm, and unwavering. Where have you seen evidence of the steadfast love of God in your past? Celebrate and thank him. God gets all the credit! He supplies the seed and the increase so that we can be generous. How can you be generous with what God has given you so that others will be thankful? Read Psalm 136. Notice all the ways the psalmist is grateful. How would you write that psalm? List all of the ways God has been faithful to you. DAY 6 Reflect on what God has shown you through this week s message, group study, and daily devotions. 6

Week 2 GOD IS NOT DONE DAY 1 DAY 2 DAY 3 DAY 4 DAY 5 Philippians 1:6 NLT And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. 1 Chronicles 28:20 ESV Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished. 1 Corinthians 2:9 10 NLT No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God s deep secrets. Isaiah 43:7 NIV Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NLT Each time he said, My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness. So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. In what area(s) of your life is God still working on you? Where is He challenging you to grow today? We can be strong and courageous because we know God is always with us. Where do you need to be reminded of this promise in your life today? Through his Spirit we can know the wonderful things God has prepared for us. What has God freely given to you to prepare you for the future He has called you to? Read Isaiah 43:1-7. If God created Israel for his glory, then how much more responsibility do we have to live a life that glorifies Him? How are you living to glorify God? Our areas of weakness are the places where we see God s grace the most. In what areas do you need to acknowledge weakness and receive His strength? DAY 6 Reflect on what God has shown you through this week s message, group study, and daily devotions. 7

DAILY DEVOTIONALS Week 3 WHERE ARE WE GOING FROM HERE? DAY 1 Ephesians 5:15 17 ESV Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. You honor God by how you steward your time. In what areas might you be wasting your time? How are you living out God s will for your life? DAY 2 1 Corinthians 6:19 20 NIV Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. You honor God by how you steward and care for your body, the temple of the Holy Spirit. How is your health, your weight, and your diet demonstrating your care for God s temple? In what ways can you be a better steward? What is the price that God paid for you? DAY 3 DAY 4 DAY 5 Romans 12:6 8 NIV We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Matthew 6:19 21 NIV Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:33 NIV But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. You honor God by how you steward your talents. God gives every believer gifts according to his grace. Have you identified your gifts? Are you using those gifts to glorify God? Are you serving with the right attitude and loving others? You honor God by how you steward your treasure. What does how you spend and save your money say about where your heart is? What do you need to adjust so you can invest in eternal things? Seeking God s kingdom should be the aim in all that we do. In what areas of your life do you need to seek him first? 8 DAY 6 Reflect on what God has shown you through this week s message, group study, and daily devotions.

Week 4 WELL ABLE TO SERVE DAY 1 DAY 2 DAY 3 DAY 4 DAY 5 1 Peter 4:10 NIV Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God s grace in its various forms. Ephesians 2:10 ESV For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Isaiah 58:10 NLT Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. Colossians 3:23 24 NLT Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. Mark 10:43 45 NLT Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many. What gifts has God given to you and how are you using them to serve others? Are you being a faithful steward of what God has given you? We are not saved by our good works, but for good works. What good works has God prepared in advance for you to do and how are you actively working toward them? What are you doing to help the hungry and the poor? How can you bless a ministry that is helping those in trouble? Our attitude is just as important to God as the things we accomplish. Where might you need an attitude adjustment toward your work? How are you at taking the role of a servant? Who in your life may you need to serve more? DAY 6 Reflect on what God has shown you through this week s message, group study, and daily devotions. 9

DAILY DEVOTIONALS DAY 1 DAY 2 Week 5 CELEBRATE & COMMISSION Matthew 28:19 20 NIV Therefore go and make disciples of all Jesus instructs us to make disciples not nations, baptizing them in the name just converts. Who are you discipling? of the Father and of the Son and of the Who are you helping grow closer to God? Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey Who are you teaching to obey everything everything I have commanded you... Jesus has commanded? Acts 1:8 NIV But you will receive power when the Holy How are you ministering in the power of the Spirit comes on you; and you will be my Holy Spirit? How is your witness expanding witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea from your Jerusalem to the ends of the world? and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. If you haven t received the power of the Holy Spirit then ask God to give it to you. It is a gift received by faith just like salvation. DAY 3 DAY 4 DAY 5 Proverbs 27:17 NIV As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. Matthew 5:13-16 NIV You are the salt of the earth You are the light of the world Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. 2 Corinthians 5:14 15 NIV For Christ s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. Who are you accountable to? Who is sharpening you, encouraging you to grow closer to God and become the person God wants you to be? Where are you letting your light shine in this dark world? What good deeds can you do that will bring glory to God? With whom are you sharing the Gospel? If we are convinced that Jesus died for our sins, then we should be compelled by his love to share that love with others. Do you live in such a way that you are obviously compelled by Christ s love? DAY 6 Reflect on what God has shown you through this week s message, group study, and daily devotions. 10
