BROTHERS IN CHRIST MINISTRY 2013 RETREAT Sacred Heart of Jesus Brothers in Christ Ministry invite all men to take advantage of a unique opportunity to plan in advance to spend time with God and like minded men in retreat. The retreat will be held at the Cenacle Retreat House in Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, New York, July 12 th 13 th and 14th. Cenacle is a modern establishment with many amenities. It is well suited for a retreat. The theme for this year is St. Augustine, Alpha Male and Model for Christian Men. The retreat leader, Father Chris Devon, is a noted educator and Jesuit scholar. He is eminently qualified to lead a study of St. Augustine s relevance to today s man. FEE: $225.00 can be paid in full or in an initial payment of $75 and three additional installments of $50.00 each. The full fee must be paid by June 21, 2013. Sacred Heart Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers The Creole and English ministers would like to invite the lectors to worship with them after the 9:00am Mass on the following dates: Every third Friday of the months of January, February, April, May, July, August, October and November. Breakfast will be served after each meeting. Every third Saturday of the months of March, June, September and December. Lunch will be served after each meeting.

Lenten Holy Hours Jesus said Come apart and rest awhile. The Sisters of Sacred Heart Convent Will have a Silent Holy Hour On the Wednesday evenings of Lent From 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM In the Convent Chapel. This is an opportunity to rest in the Presence of the Lord, to talk to Him and listen to Him as He speaks to you in the silence of your heart. There will not be a Holy Hour on March 27 Note: March 6 th there is a Mass scheduled for 8::PM.We will hold the Holy Hour from 6:45pm to 7:45pm.. Parishioners Day of Information On Sunday, March 17, 2013 the Theta Chi Chapter of Chi Eta Sonority, and the American Diabetes Association will be at Sacred Heart Church on behalf of the National Kidney disease education program, to help you make the connections between diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease. Participants will congregate for the first station at St. James Cathedral, Brooklyn, at 10:00am. After a station on the Brooklyn Bridge, the procession will follow the cross to a third station at City Hall park in Manhattan, and a fourth station near Ground Zero. The final station will be at St. Peter s Church on Barclay Street, concluding at 1:30pm. At each station, there will be readings from the Passion, a meditation, a reflection and hymns. All are invited.
