Tabitha Mary 1695 married Henry Gordon before 1725. Goes back Ester 1701 to Ensign Walter Fairfield born in England 1632, Samuel 1701 -TABITHA (ANDREWS) GORDON bp 10/20/1700-(Gordin?) British Royal Navy, and then John Fairfield and Brakes 1703 -Edmond Elizabeth Knight, 1600 in England. TABITHA REED (Samuel Twisden) 1758-1853 Nicholas Gordon (1) born Feb 10,1760 died March 28, 1760. Nicholas Gordon (2) born May 30 1761 died August 12, 1761. Elizabeth Reed 1762 (Benjamin White m. 12/12/1789) Nicholas Gordon (3) 1764, s. Samuel and Tabitha was baptized Sept 30,1764. (A Nicholas Reed married Anna (Nancy?) Graney 8/5/1791, had a son John Graney 2/5/1792.) Sarah ( John Adams) 1767-1826 (married John Adams on 2/13/1787-1816) Martha 1770 (Bartholomew Jackson, children George 1803, Tabitha Reed 1817 and John 1817) Note: Sarah Reed Adams 1767-1823 (Married Captn, John Adams Feb 13, 1787), Connected to the land purchase in 1797 with Nicholas Gordon and Tabitha Reed. On a 11/28/1797 deed transfer document Tabitha Reed (widow) selling part of her homestead, along with Nicholas Gordon (mariner), Benoice Johnson and Sarah Johnson to John (mariner) and Sarah Adams. Captain Nicholass Gordon was later mentioned as having died on May 28, 1807. (2)

Captain of Ship Traveler and Schooner Swan. Also Thomas 12/22/1782 (died) ship "True Blue" around 1777 out of Marblehead during the revolutionary war. b. Samuel Jr. 1785-10/5/1845 d.ebenezer Twiden and c. Mary Reed 1786 Desire, May 28,1769 Elizabeth Butman married and d. Ebenezer Stacy 1789-1856 ELIZABETH Dec 8, 1770 had Henry B, Joseph B (John), e. Nicholas Gordon 10/23/1791 Hannah Sept 7, 1777 Elizabeth, *Catherine Tabby 1793- before 1795 (died) (Hutcherson) TABITHA GORDON 1795-1860 (1) Thomas 1797-7/27/1835 Note: Richard Stiles was also mate on the schooner Hannah owned by Jonathan Glover (1773) and captained her until her loss in the West Indies in December 1774. He was then Lieutenant and Sailing Master of Washington's armed schooner until 1776. *Catherine Twisden married Charles F. Hutcherson and had Emma Gordon, Catherine Smith, Leila and Elizabeth Twisden as children. Buried at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn Mass. b. Samuel Twisden Jr. married Jane Wadden in 1810-1828, had Samuel 1811. Hooker Osgood 1813, John Boden in 1817 and Isaac Wadden 1819 (died at age 3). Remarried Hannah Stone in 1833, had Lydia in 1834, Benjamin Stone in 1838, Samuel 1848, (Samuel Osgood 1&2 born 1836, 1841 and Hannah 1839 all died). c.mary Twiden married John Maley in 1808, had Mary Jane in 1811, remarried Robert Glidden 1/23/1820. e.nicholas Gordon married Sally Peirson in 1833, had Hannah (Perry), Lydia (LeCraw) and Sarah (Meserveey)also had several children who died in childhood, Nicholas (1843-1850), one in 1837and 1839. a. Lydia Married John Pitcher 2/2/1799, William Gilpatrick 5/11/1812, Stephen Sprague 1/20/1815 and Colonel Cornelius Thompson 1/15/1818. Had son Christopher Pitcher 5/18/1800, and died in Lynn on 3/13/1854 of liver disease. (3)

Out of wedlock?? 1/7/1751-8/19/1827 1770-7/21/1856 Married: Feb 10, 1811. 1795-4/5/1860 Marblehead (Elizabeth married Joseph Butman Jr. on April 28,1893 at age 23. Joseph was buried at sea. Nicholas Adams Gordon 1813-1863 Had with Joseph, Elizabeth (died at age 3), Joseph III, Richard,* Elizabeth 1799-1851) ( bp, baptized March 7, 1819, Second John Pierce 1810-1843? Congregational Church) RUTH PIERCE 1812-1890 Tabitha married Amos T. Thompson in Catherine? 1820, Amos was from Eden,Maine and first daughter Mary Jane was born there. (Robert was a sail maker, his ship Brigantine" Fancy" was captured in 1777 and imprisoned from Amos died in 1848-49 he was a ships carpenter 1777-1782 in Mill Prison, Plymouth, England. Married Mary Goodwin, had 7-8 children Tabitha was 18 when Nicholas was born. remarried Elizabeth Stiles Butman in 1811.) Another Nicholas Twisden, Nicholas TABITHA GORDON TWISDEN THOMPSON/AMOS THOMAS THOMPSON Edgecombe Pickett, s, Christopher 1795-1860 1/25/1796-1848 died of consumption. and Hannah, was baptized on May 4 Married Jan 23,1820 in Lynn Mass. Amos was from Eden, Maine 1819, guessing went with Gordon, maternal grandmothers name as to Amos T. Thompson was born 1/25/1796 in Bar Harbor Hancock Maine, 2nd child. Parents not confuse the Nicholas'. Cornelius Thompson 1756-1835 and Margaret (Peggy) Thomas 1756-1817. Tabitha died on May 7th 1860 in Lynn, Mass. died of Dropsy, buried in Eastern Ground, Union Street, Lynn. Note: The 1850 census shows Lydia Twisden Thompson (Tabitha's sister) living with Ebenezer Twisden in Lynn Mass. Lydia married Colonel Cornelius Thompson, Amos T. Thompson's father (1756-1835). Amos's father married Judith Brown died 1792, and Margaret Peggy Thomas died 1817. (4)

Died 4/2/1848 of consumption.(husband Otis Breed m. 3/13/1842, Children William J., Amos, Zelotes Bassett) Mary Jane Thompson (Ball) 9/18/1826- Eden, Maine 4th child Celestia Woodrough Thompson 10/21 1831-1845, Eden, Maine (died at 14 of consumption). Samuel Twisden Thompson 1832- Marblehead. (Civil War Vet, Army of the Potomac) Married Elizabeth J. Quinn 8/12/1877. Zelotes J. bp 2/23/1834 died same day. Margret Ann H.. (Joseph Phillips) 1838-1898 John Thomas 3/5/1840-9/20/1840 Eden Maine died NICHOLAS ADAMS GORDON/RUTH PIERCE GORDON 6/14/1813-12/1/1863 1812-1890 Lynn, Mass Ships Master, Married in Lynn, Mass Aug 13,1837, buried at sea 4/29/1863. Last Ship was Barque Good Hope, Port Elizabeth documented May 20, 1863. John Welsh Gordon (Almanda Charlton) 1838 (died of Yellow fever, buried at sea after 1863) (John was in jail in 1860 for larceny (?), briefly married Almanda in 1862 in Boston and then disappeared from the record after 1863. Almanda remarried in 1866). Isabel la Kittredge Gordon Holder 1841-1929 (cousin Leila was her daughter) Edward Bertelle Gordon Sr. 1844-1918 Leila Pierce Gordon born 1849 and died May 11, 1854 at age 5 of Spasmodic Croup. Nicholas is listed as owning the burial plot at Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn Mass but is not buried there (nor is John W. Gordon). Ruth Gordon is in Plot chestnut Avenue-425, grave 8. Records say Nicholas died at sea. Elizabeth Pierce lived with Edward Sr. in her later years at age 79. Nicholas and Ruth lived on 22 Lowell Street. Nicholas Adams Gordon and John Gordon both lived at 22 Lowell Street in 1863 (Lynn schools directories and churches), John as a seaman and boarder and Nicholas as the Ships Master. Nicholas Listed at died at sea on April 29th,1863. Ship Names Booae or Hou*C? Also the 1880 census shows a Marie E. Kimball age 38 daughter-in-law and Wilbur RaveL Kimball grandson of Anna Ravel living with Ruth Gordon. The father was Wilbur F. Kimball. They are related somehow. (5)

(James died on 10/8/1865) Frank Earl Marble was the Edward Bertelle Jr. 1874 civil war captain. His mother was William Kennedy Gordon. Born, Jan 28, 1877. Died August 15,1877 of convulsions. Maria Dowley, Father Earl A. Isabella, Leila and James G.moved in with the Gordon's when Isabella husband James W. died. Marble. James Warren Holders parents were Aaron L. Holder and Rachael B. Holder. Isabella and James W. were married on 9/17/1862, in Lynn Mass. Lavinia K. Kennedy Gordon was born in Holbrook in 1847 and died at age 46 Feb 21, 1893 of pneumonia. Her father was Edward Kennedy (1804) mother Lavinia Thomas (1808). She had a brother Henry Martin Kennedy (1840). The 1865 census had them living in Randolph Norfolk Mass. Edwards fathers name was Peter Kennedy. Lavinia's grandparents were John and Louisa Thomas born around 1795. Edward was born in Boston, Mass. Louis Cortright Marble 1873- Edward Bertelle Gordon Jr. (2/15/1874-1941) LEILA WARREN HOLDER 1866-1950. Never married. Swampscott Lynn, Mass "Cousin Leila" JAMES GORDON HOLDER (brother)1863-1932 Never married. Celia Warren Holder Jenny Marble 8/6/1877-1966 born Sarah Anderson (adopted 7/28/ 1887) from the American Female Guardian Society, New York, (Jenny had a natural sister Florence and brother Walter. Her father was Charles L. Anderson (1845), banker, her mother Mary Worley Anderson (1853), had died on 4/6/1880. Lived at 59 E 32nd Street, NY.
