LIVE In 2013, Matt & Kirsten Van Peursem moved 400 miles north to Woodland, California. They did not know anyone at the time, so they quickly got to work coaching local sports, throwing parties, joining community events, and serving as a chaplain with the Woodland Police Department. After 12 months of building relationships and gathering a team of friends, Catalyst held four monthly preview services in the fall of 2014. From day one, we saw men and women putting their faith in Jesus, having at least one baptism at each of those first services. From day one, Catalyst has been committed to On December 7, 2014, Catalyst held its grand opening with people in attendance.

6\Jv[J6GJJS MJ6TUUTWYZSNY^6\J6MF[J The first 18 months of Catalyst have seen incredible growth both physically and spiritually. In almost every metric from groups to giving, attendance to action - we have grown 20% from year one to year two. Since we launched, we have given away over $65,000 in efforts to bless our community and plant more churches. We ve mobilized our church and our city to give away over 1,000 backpacks filled with supplies to students to help them succeed in school and over 750 backpacks of clothes, toys, and toiletries to children taken into foster care. By the grace of God, we have seen growth and life transformation at an incredible rate, and we believe God is opening a door that will result in even more people finding and following Jesus. We are excited at the opportunity for Catalyst to have its first ever PERMANENT HOME. At 120 Main Street, a vacant retail space once owned by Aaron Brothers Furniture has been made available to Catalyst. The owners have agreed in what we believe to be a dream offer to lease this beautiful 12,000 sq. ft. of space at a fraction of the going rate. At every step, God s hand has been so clearly upon this project that we believe that this is what He plans for our next season. 6 YYJSIFSHJ@6 TYFQ6 FUYNXRX@6 Our new PERMANENT HOME would put Catalyst at the very center of Woodland and directly in the path of the revitalization of Main Street. We are overwhelmed at the opportunity to reach even more people across our entire city. HJSYJW6IJXNLS6HTSHJUY

MJ6 ZWIQJX6 J6 FHJ MJ6FSX\JW6\J6MF[J The limitations we have in our portable setting (space, wall décor, lighting, cleanliness, availability, etc.) make it challenging to create inspiring environments that students LOVE to attend. Additionally, we have no space to engage parents, youth, and families during the week. TIJWS6 6 6 6666666KKJHY6YMJ6SJ]Y6LJSJWFYNTS If we want to have a chance in reaching this city for Christ, it begins with the next generation. Dedicated, modern Catalyst Kids rooms along with the capacity to expand for youth creates a PERMANENT HOME where kids can find and follow Jesus. ZQYNUQ^6HTRRZSNY^6NRUFHY 6 An event venue that is both modern and affordable does not exist in Woodland. As a result of our portability, we are missing out on creative opportunities to connect with our city and reach a segment of our population who would otherwise not step foot inside of a church. JWHJUYNTS6TK6NSXYFGNQNY^ Woodland has a long history of valuing stability and a commitment to community. As a result, our current state of portability is viewed as transient and unstable. For many, a portable church in a school is too big of a hurdle to overcome. Our PERMANENT HOME will also be a gift to our community. It is our dream that it be utilized all week long by community members and organizations to celebrate marriages, mourn losses, teach classes, and gather as friends. WT[NIJ6F6UJWRFS SY6MTRJ JFHMNSL6YMJ6SJ]Y6LJSJWFYNTS A PERMANENT HOME would demonstrate to our city that we are here to stay. With our deep love for Woodland and commitment to meeting its needs, our PERMANENT HOME communicates stability as an organization, removing a significant barrier to growth.

MJ6 6 A PERMANENT HOME helps Catalyst take a massive leap forward in our effort to help as many people as possible find and follow Jesus. Here are just a few of the many ways: PERMANENT HOME JQUX6ZX6WJFHM6RTWJ6UJTUQJ( We can hold more people to hear about Jesus in addition to expanding our age-specific ministry environments. PERMANENT HOME RFPJX6ZX6[NX GQJ6YT6TZW6HTRRZSNY^( We get to put a face to the name of the church that has been living in the shadows for the last 18 months. PERMANENT HOME LN[JX6ZX6?#6FHHJXX. All of our ministries will have a round-the-clock space to expand or create new ministry opportunities all week long. PERMANANT HOME WNSLX6NS6YMTZXFSIX6TK6SJ\6KFHJX( Through hosting city events, weddings, funerals, etc., we will see a consistent stream of people who otherwise wouldn t find us.! PERMANENT HOME XMT\X6\TTIQFSI6\JvWJ6MJWJ6YT6XYF^( Moving from portable to permanent declares that we re going all in to make the biggest investment in the city we love. MJ6 6 We know that we cannot do this alone. Over the last few months, God has brought together an amazing team of people both inside and outside of our community to make this vision come alive. Meet the team: TSPQNS6 TSXYWZHYNTS@6 WTOJHY6 FSFLJRJSY Sean Conklin and his family have been a part of Catalyst from day one. Over the last few years, Sean has grown his business into one of the top construction companies in the county. With his crew, Sean will oversee all aspects of physical construction. 6 @6 6 FSFLJRJSY David has a successful career of helping churches raise the funds necessary to fulfill God-sized visions. David will be the key consultant for our campaign budget, finance management, and future budget planning. MFWQTYYJ6 J\NX@6HWJFYN[J6IJXNLS Charlotte is one of the most creative people we know in designing inviting and inspirational environments. Charlotte will oversee all elements of color, lighting, and design to make each environment age-appropriate and welcoming to all. TGGNJ6 WFIXMF\@6 TQZSYJJW6 TTWINSFYTW The people of Catalyst will be investing hundreds of hours to make our PERMANENT HOME come alive. Bobbie will be responsible for making sure that all of those people show up at the right place at the right time ready to work. coming soon

It is our goal to raise the necessary funds that will enable us to move into our PERMANENT HOME, all to AMPlify the name of Jesus. We hope to do that with the combined effort of those inside and outside of our church community. The total cost of this project is $160,000. This includes $100,000 of building improvements and $60,000 to cover the first year of increased monthly expenses. In the fall of 2016, it is our goal to raise: We have set up several contribution levels that will help us reach our goal for those outside the Catalyst community. Will you prayerfully consider how God would have you respond? Thank you in advance for your generosity! We are grateful for a gift of any size, as every act of generosity gets us closer to our goal. All gifts are fully tax-deductible. For questions on how to donate through gifts of stock, property, vehicles, etc., please contact us.
