SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME OLV TO SERVE YWCA FAMILIES Thursday, February 23 FOR BAKERS Please have your cookies, brownies and cupcakes delivered to Victory Hall by noon on Thursday, February 23. The cookies do not need to be individually wrapped. And please package your desserts to protect them during transport, and label them with YWCA. Drive to the rear of the building and enter in the Volunteer entrance. You'll need to ring the bell at the entrance for someone to let you in. The nursery is located in the lower-level Atrium of the main church (same location as the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program). Andrea Leeuw, an Intervention Specialist at Hartley High School, has been hired for the nursery this year. Andrea is CPR certified and has completed the Protecting God's Children Course and a BCI background check. Mackenzie Johnson, an Intervention Specialist at Worthington High School, and Cara Rezabek, an Intervention Specialist from Hartley High School will be the subs when Andrea is not available. All have been through the PGC course and a BCI background check. We also ask that one parent of the children that work the nursery, take turns staying each week, to assist Andrea. Only one parent needs to stay and a Sign-Up Genius will be created for parents to schedule when they are able to assist. Please give your email address to Andrea and we will send you the link to the Sign-up Genius. We will post the link in the bulletin next week! You can drop off your children at 10:50am and pickup immediately after mass ends. The nursery is open during the school year only. SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME SILENT RETREAT FOR WOMEN OF THE COLUMBUS DIO- CESE - during this Lenten season come away by yourself for just one week-end, disconnect from the cyber world, and connect with God by coming to a SILENT retreat for women March 3, 4, & 5, 2017 at St. Therese s Retreat Center, 5277 E. Broad Street. Sponsored by the Catholic Laywomen s Retreat League, this retreat begins Friday evening and ends Sunday at noon. Father Al Naseman, C.PP.S., is the retreat master. A member of the Cincinnati Province of the Precious Blood order, Father Naseman has been leading retreats for 25 years. Prior to that he taught in three Precious Blood seminaries. He will give four conferences on Reflections on Lent from the Book of Ecclesiastes. The fee is $140 for six meals and a private room. The Basilica & National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, OH, is hosting a mission, 60 MINUTES FOR JESUS with Father Jim Sichko. Father Jim will be using real-life experiences and relating them to the gospel message of Jesus Christ with scripture, storytelling, laughter and praise. Father Jim is a truly gifted preacher and evangelist from the Diocese of Lexington, KY, and in February 2016, Pope Francis commissioned Father Jim as one of his Papal Missionaries of Mercy. The Basilica was blessed last August when he preached our Assumption Novena, and we enthusiastically invite Father Jim back to be the homilist at all of our Masses the weekend of February 25 (5:30pm) and February 26 (9:00am and 11:00am).
