This year s Fall Pastoral Conference will be held October 3-5 (Monday Wednesday) at Mount Hope Lutheran Church in Casper, WY. Mount Hope is located at 2300 Hickory St. The speaker is Rev. Dr. Roland Ziegler, Associate Professor of Systematic Theology and Confessional Lutheran Studies at Concordia Theological Seminary. The conference theme is: Apologetics and the Early Missouri Synod. WYOMING DISTRICT PASTORAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE Mount Hope Lutheran Church Casper, WY October 3 5, 2016 Apologetics and the Early Missouri Synod ABOUT OUR SPEAKER Rev. Dr. Roland Ziegler Dr. Ziegler joined the Concordia Theological Seminary (CTSFW), Fort Wayne, faculty in 2000. He serves as the Robert D. Preus Associate Professor of Systematic Theology and Confessional Lutheran Studies. Born in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, he studied at the Universities of Tübingen and Erlangen. He received his M.Div.(1993) from the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Oberursel. A scholarship enabled him to study as an exchange student at CTSFW. He received his Dr.theol. from the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen in 2011. He served as a teaching assistant at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Oberursel (1993 1995), a vicar in Berlin (1995 1997), and a pastor in Konstanz (1997 2000).

Note to Retired Pastors At the 2010 Wyoming District Convention, Resolution 3-03-2012 (To Honor Veterans of the Cross) was passed, authorizing our retired clergy to receive reimbursement for the expenses to attend pastor conferences. To that end, the current reimbursement for retired pastors is as follows: Full cost of hotel room Per diem for meals o Breakfast - $15 o Lunch - $15 o Dinner - $30 Mileage to and from the conference When filling out the district expense form, please note your retired status for proper expense accounting by the district.
