Campaign Prayer St. Theresa, We pray for Your intercession For our Parish, our School, its Pastor, Deacons and People. Pray for us that this, our parish church and school, dedicated to Your honor, may grow and prosper. Help us by Your intercession to improve our Holy House and the structures that house the work of this parish, so we may continue to welcome pilgrims, edify the faithful, educate the young, nurture vocations, and sanctify all souls who hunger for truth and thirst for the beauty of holiness. Help us to follow the example of Your faith, to be ready for service, and humble in heart, and let us rejoice always in God our Savior. May we be guarded by Your intercessions from sin and sorrow to be shielded against pride and envy, and teach us to love the Lord Jesus, and all souls for His sake. Amen. Technology Lovers Excitement On Monday, Melissa Ilski and I accepted a grant check from the Charity Guild of Catholic Women. It was in the amount of $11,670. These funds will be used to purchase smartboards for the remaining classrooms that currently do not have this equipment. The earliest learners will now have these exciting boards to learn with and use. If you are not familiar with the Charity Guild of Catholic Women you may want to Google this organization. These women are the movers and shakers from the 1980 s and 1990 s that now together raise funds through charity work, then in turn other organizations write grants and can be awarded funds based on true need. The Charity Guild of Catholic Women is strong and very supportive to many people all over Houston. In this same light I am calling all of our younger parishioners to fill the shoes of our aging parishioners. The time for you is now and yes, we are talking to you. At age 22, 25, 30 or 35 we need you! Without your help and support we will not meet our campaign goals. I am inviting you to spend Fat Tuesday with me at: Russo s New York Pizzeria - 306 Gray St. Houston, TX 77002 @ 6 pm. Please text me at: 832.660.0903 to reserve your spot, we can accommodate the first 150 people! Remember, Help Fill Our Shoes! - Father Phil

Online Giving Online Giving is an easy and flexible way to manage your donations to St. Theresa to make one-time or recurrent donations. There are several ways to access our online giving page: 1 Download a free QR code reader to your phone such as QR Scanner, QR Code Reader, Scan Barcode Pro and scan the image on the right: 2 You can also go directly on your smart phone or tablet to: www.sttheresa.cc/give 3 Use our electronic kiosk located in the Church Narthex, and swipe your credit or debit card directly. 4 Desktop users can login to our website www.sttheresa.cc, click on the Giving button on the top green navigation bar and select Donations. Matching Gift Programs Does your company offer a Matching Gift Program? Matching gift programs are when a company will match, usually dollar for dollar, a monetary donation made by an employee to a nonprofit. For example, if an employee of NRG donates $500 to St. Theresa, then NRG will match that gift, resulting in a total donation of $1,000. Some organizations would restrict contributions to religious organizations, but will allow them for education; our school would qualify for that category! It isn t just NRG, visit www.sttheresaschool.cc/matching-gifts for a list of some of the companies that have matching programs. You can double the impact of your contribution! Find out more about the matching program of your employer and register St. Theresa on their database. If you need help or more information, please contact Enrique Benitez at e.benitez@sttheresa.cc.

Campaign Newsletter Volume 6 February 11-12, 2017 We are excited to provide the following update on our Capital Campaign! Over the last several months, parishioners, school families and friends of St. Theresa have been attending receptions to review and discuss the plans for renovation of church, the construction of spacious narthex and construction of a new 17 classroom building for our school. Every parish and school family has been invited to attend one of these receptions, so if you have not been able to attend we urge you to do so before they culminate with the parish wide receptions during the weekend of February 18 and 19. This campaign is about more than money, bricks and mortar; it speaks to our mission as a parish to be open and welcoming to all. Both our church and school are in need of more space and improvements to continue serving our growing population. We are very proud to announce that including the wonderful gift to the church left by Mr. Leo Etlinger, pledges to our campaign now total $5.4 million! 110 families, including family foundations have expressed their support for the campaign by making their pledge. Our overall goal is $12.1 million dollars; so during this prayer weekend we ask you to continue to pray for the success of this campaign and consider joining those who are investing in the future of our church and school. If you have any questions, please contact the campaign office at 713-869-3783 or at ourfuture@sttheresa.cc
