cul ti vate (verb): to foster the growth of CHRIST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH MINISTRY YEAR SNAPSHOT
Christ Presbyterian Church first took root more than sixty years ago with an INVITATION. Person by person, house by house, the invitations multiplied... and became the heartbeat of who we are. CPC believes we are called to extend the invitation of Jesus to invite others into a relationship with the God who loves us beyond measure, restores the broken, and changes lives. God continues to sow seeds in our community near and far. Take time to look back over the harvest God has cultivated in 2016-2017, and let s celebrate His goodness! CULTIVATE THANKFULNESS. Let the Word of Christ the Message have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives... Let every detail in your lives words, actions, whatever be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. - Colossians 3:15-17

TO CULTIVATE FAITH: this is the core of our mission as a local church. WE WANT TO BRING PEOPLE INTO RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS TO KNOW HIS LOVE AND GRACE, AND TO CULTIVATE AN ABUNDANT LIFE THAT IS ROOTED AND FLOURISHING IN HIM. How have we cultivated faith this year? THROUGH RELATIONSHIPS We are committed to teaching God s Word and learning together how we can live and share the Gospel. Our small groups and communities foster vibrant opportunities to grow spiritually. The gift of God s forgiveness and grace is worth sharing! We are committed to cultivating opportunities like our Summer Block Parties to build interaction both inside and outside CPC s walls. We want to demonstrate care and love for others who might never come for a service, so CPC offers a variety of different ministries and programs: hospital visits, Women Who Inspire, Grief Recovery, Single Parent Family Ministry, etc. THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS CPC has rich partnerships with local and global ministries that are committed to bringing much-needed resources and the hope of Christ. We are committed to growing the Church. Our Christmas Offering went to Lighthouse Church, a new church plant in North Minneapolis. The Table, our Sunday evening service, launched in September in South Minneapolis. THROUGH KIDS + STUDENTS Kids and students continue to be a main priority of our mission and purpose. We want all of our children to develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus! We know through research that for faith to really stick, kids need positive adults invested in their spiritual growth. 71 young adult mentors lead high school students weekly. THANK YOU, GOD, for cultivating in us a heart for invitation and a love for those who don t know You yet. May we continue focusing on Your Word, Your promises, and Your path for CPC s future.
