Parents, you are doing the right thing bringing your childrenyes, even the tiny ones to Divine Liturgy! The most important role we will have in our lifetime is that of raising our children to be followers of Jesus. One way we do this is to be present at Divine Liturgy week in, and week out. Is this easy? Not always! First prepare yourself to be there! Since it is likely you will not have much head space to think or pray, do that as often as you can outside of Divine Liturgy. While you are there, you can focus your efforts on helping little ones understand and appreciate what is going on during Divine Liturgy. Knights of Columbus Spiritual Adoption of Unborn Babies Adopt-A-Baby Program Three month developing baby Your baby is quite active in the womb now - although its mother will not feel the baby for another couple of months. If the mother s womb had a window, you could watch your spiritually adopted baby squint, swallow, and move its tongue. The baby can make a tight fist if you touch its palm. The baby is breathing fluid which it continues until birth. The baby obtains the oxygen which its body needs through the umbilical cord. The BABY you are praying for weighs one ounce. 2017 Seminary and CCCB Special Collection Appeal The Seminary & CCCB collection is based on the number of households in regular attendance on an average Sunday. For 2017 our parish has been assessed at $6,128. To date, our seminary collection is $1415, leaving a shortfall of $4,714. We are appealing to our parishioners for your help to cover this shortfall.
