First Holy Communion: Our second preparation Mass for our First Holy Communion class together with their parents and families will be celebrated today, Sunday at 10:30 am in St Michael s Church, Kildysart. Adoration: Our extended period of silent prayer in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament will take place from 10 am until 3 pm on Friday, 1st December in our parish church. All are welcome to spend time in the presence of the Lord. First Friday: Next Friday is the first Friday in December. The monthly visits to the sick and housebound will take place that morning. Mass will be celebrated in St Michael s church, Kildysart on Friday evening at 8 pm. Ordination: Martin Shanahan will be ordained as a deacon for the Diocese of Killaloe by Bishop Fintan Monahan in the Cathedral Ennis on Sunday, 26th November. Martin is a native of Quilty and worked for over thirty years with the ESB. His wife, Margaret Mary died in 2011 and he has one son Éoin who is a third level student. As Martin is ordained a deacon, he enters into the final stage in his preparations for his Priestly Ordination next summer. Please keep him and his family in your prayers this weekend.
