The Month of April in Review Welcoming New Members Easter Sunday Celebration! Palm Sunday March 29 Choir Cantata For Your Information The worship committee works with the Pastor to plan and coordinate all aspects of worship appropriate to the season and at special times other than Sunday mornings. We are responsible for preparing communion elements. Our deacon representative makes sure there is a volunteer scheduled every month. She also is our liaison with the board of deacons. Have you noticed the different paraments and banners throughout the year? We determine a schedule every January that tells us when these need to be changed. This is in the Worship Committee closet. The Sanctuary is straightened, candles are filled, and supplies are ordered, all ongoing weekly. The wedding and funeral policies have been reviewed and updated. We couldn t run the services without the help of some wonderful people who do the sound system. Coming up in May we have our Mother s Day festivities and Memorial Day weekend (Our new minister s first time with us) is on Pentecost Sunday when the church will be decorated in red and we encourage the congregation to come wearing flame colors! But most important, they'll discover Jesus provides what they truly need in every challenge of life. A Letter From Letty I really have no words for this month s offering, only Thank You! For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 Peace be with you, my dear friends. Post a Greeting The Mission Committee has a Welcome bulletin board in Fellowship Hall for Pastor Sue and Rick. We would like as many members of our congregation as possible to place a note or card of welcome with their name and a brief greeting on the board. Materials for this purpose will be available near the bulletin board during coffee hours or any time during the month of May. Thank you for your participation. Narcissus meekly greet you, too delicate and refined to yell their Hellos, Almost wishing they would not be noticed, Shyness is their style. Crocus, so determined to drill up through frozen ground and snow, Arriving, they're too tired except to quietly face the day. But Daffodils are brash, Resting for fifty weeks, No wonder they have such energy. Here I am, they shout. Now Spring can come!
