SUNDAY, July 5th, 2015 FOR THE RIDE HOME First Reading: Ezekiel 2: 2-5 Second Reading: 2 Cor 12: 7-10 Gospel: Mark 6: 1-6a "Who does he think he is?" and "She's just too much!" are common complaints used to belittle others. When Jesus first returned to Nazareth and preached in the local synagogue, his audience was amazed. They could not believe that one who had grown up in their midst could be such an outstanding teacher and healer. Perhaps they envied and feared the power they sensed in him. Because of their refusal to believe, Jesus could work few miracles among them. He understood that a prophet is not honored in his own hometown. So he moved on to other villages where the people welcomed him. When and why have others ever said to you "You're just too much" or "Who do you think you are?" when they disapproved of you? What might these complaints reveal about the ones who make them? Join Us With Mary When life got overwhelming and too big for us as children, we turned to our mother for support and guidance. As adults, we thank her for all she had done for us. Now we are blessed with the opportunity to turn to our Heavenly Mother Mary to ask for her support and guidance, and thank her for the many blessings she has given us. Every Wednesday after 9:00 AM mass (at 9:30), you are invited to join us as we pray the rosary to ask for her help and guidance and to thank her for her abounding love. 8th ANNUAL SUPER BONANZA $25 winners Sunday, 6/28#12484 M/M Justin Perrotta Monday, 6/29 #04769 Kelly Smith Tuesday, 6/30 # 14276 Kerri Ronan Wednesday, 7/1# 14714 Denise Seidel Thursday, 7/2# 02677 Dave Lange Friday, 7/3 #04242 Kevin Moran Saturday, 7/4 #00205 Marie Diaz CONGRATULATIONS!
