He was born on March 11, 1938, in Putnam County to the late Bailey Owen and Ethel Shanks Carr. He was a foreman at Crown Enamel Paint Co. in Royal Oak. His family includes his wife, Erma Kay Compton Carr of Royal Oak; a son, Tony Carr of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; two sisters and brothers inlaw, Lee Oma and Bill Harris of Smithville, and Tommie and Jim Driver of Bowling Green, Ky.; a brother and sister in law, Owen D. and Bobbie June Carr of Madison Heights, Mich. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Regina Carr Olivo; and two brothers, David and Arvin Carr. The Rev. Roger Cooper will officiate at the services.
