Reaching The Unreached (RTU) Reaching the Unreached (RTU) is our international church-planting program that began in Ivory Coast, West Africa and has continued to expand into India and Nepal. Dozens of churches have been planted and hundreds have come to Christ through RTU. This is an opportunity that allows your church to pay the monthly support for a local FWB church planter in the Ivory Coast for $150 a month or in India for $75 a month. Here s an update on these efforts: Ivory Coast Currently, we have 12 RTU sponsored church planters in the Ivory Coast. These 12 planters are planting/pastoring 54 churches at present with over 2,400 people attending the services on a regular basis. In the last quarter of 2016, they led 192 people to personal faith in Jesus Christ. One of these planters is Alexis Hien. India While updates are harder to get from this field, we ve learned that 50 or more people were baptized Easter weekend throughout the region. They also ask us to pray that they could meet the need for 15 more land lots and church buildings/meeting places. Many of these church plants are churches that are reproducing and planting other churches in neighboring communities. Continue to pray for the financial needs of these planters. Due to the extremely difficult financial situation India is undergoing in its banking system, it remains difficult to get much needed financial support to the planters. Other requests include health issues, family issues, and the need for water pumps and latrines. Thank you for your prayers - they really do make a difference! More RTU opportunities are available if your church would like to sponsor a church planter reaching an unreached people group. For more information, please contact Gary Curry at (580)320-1473. Host A Restricted Access Worker! Contact Jim Harris at (405) 627-3161 for more info. We have a TSP supported family ready to come share with your church before returning to the field in late August. They re happy to speak Sunday mornings or evenings, Wednesday evenings, in fellowships, or in home settings any night of the week - anywhere that anyone would be interested, basically! If you re interested in having them share, call soon before their calendar gets booked up. Alexis is the pastor/planter of 13 different church plant locations. These range in size from 5 to 170 regular attenders. In the last quarter of 2016, 77 people became Christ-followers through these works. Praise the Lord! We thank God for the opportunity to be a part of this church planting effort in the Ivory Coast! 2

Randall University Graduation 2017 On May 13, 2017 our institution celebrated its first graduation ceremony under the banner of Randall University. There were 59 graduates in total receiving either an associate s, bachelor s, or master s degree. Dr. Robert J. Morgan, Teaching Pastor at The Donelson Fellowship, in Nashville, Tennessee, delivered the commencement address from Joshua 1:8-9, reminding the graduates that God would be with them wherever they go. Randall University Saints Men s Basketball Team Two in a Row Our Men s Basketball team has done it again they are the National Champions in the NCCAA DII. Congratulations to Head Coach Mark Berokoff and his team. Thank you for your hard work and for representing Randall well. Over the years we have seen Randall University successfully train men and women for various ministry roles both at home and abroad. Each year at graduation time we are reminded of this. In this academic year we had a total enrollment of 386 students. This means that 386 students were privileged to sit under a Christian professor who taught a class from a biblical perspective. Outside of Christian institutions, like Randall, this is unheard of. But, we are committed to equipping our students to serve the Lord, therefore, we will continue to offer a quality Christian education. 3

The commitment of Randall House to provide quality materials which are sound in doctrine should make all Free Will Baptists proud. Also appreciated is their commitment to partner with State works to further the cause of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 2017 NATIONAL CONVENTION SERVICES TO BE STREAMED LIVE JULY 16-19 The National Association will have live steaming of all services as well as the business reports. Please note that times will be (EDT) eastern time. They will also offer a stream of the worship services in Spanish for those interested. In addition to live streaming of worship services, the Media Commission has created an online archive of previous convention services dating to 2009. The files are available for download at www.nafwb.org/media. The free archive replaces onsite CD and DVD sales at the convention. 5

After just reading the title of this article, some of you must already be thinking, Bro. Mike has finally lost his mind. This is July not December. Joy to the World is the title of a famous Christmas song. My response is simple. The deep human need for joy is a 365 days a year need. I need it. You need it. Everyone does. Many of you who know me are aware that my wonderful mom, Donna Wade, left this world on May 15 th to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior. I miss her much. My mind has been contemplating the many things that she instilled in me both as a child and throughout my life. She taught me to love God and His word, she taught me by example not just to pray but to believe when you pray. The list of the many truths that she taught me is too long to mention all of them here, but one of the most helpful day in and day out is that Jesus offers joy to His followers. In John 15, after telling His followers that they would abide in His love if they were faithful to keep His commandments, He then says, These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. (emphasis mine) Joy is far more than smiles and laughter for we can have Christ s joy even in the midst of heartache and sadness. This fact helps us to understand that joy is not a synonym for happiness. I can only imagine that those who have suffered for Christ were not happy about the suffering, however, they still had the ability to rejoice even in the midst of suffering. I know this is true because in Acts chapter 5 after the apostles were beaten and threatened we find these words in verse 41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. This kind of joy is the reason that Paul and Silas were singing songs of praise at midnight while in stocks and in the dungeon at Phillipi. Mom helped to instill in me a deep rooted understanding of the importance of embracing the joy of Christ so that the temporary difficulties I face in this life would not overwhelm me. One important reason we are more than conquerors in this life is we have learned the strength of joy. While I am thankful for a joy that is far deeper than laughter, I am also thankful that I learned from her life that laughter can be a soothing balm in the midst of difficulty. Mom had the ability to see the world through eyes of humor. She could make us laugh when we would rather have cried and sure enough the laughter helped to lighten the load. She didn t mind laughing at herself either. I ll relate one such story that she told on herself that you might enjoy: Many years ago, on a hot summer s day, mom heard the chime of the ice cream truck in her neighborhood. She began digging through the bottom of her purse to gather change to get an ice cream. Still looking for change but heading outside fearing she would not be in time, she said to the man in the white truck in front of her house, Do you have any fudgecicles? As she looked up, the smiling mailman said, Sorry ma am, I just deliver the mail. Not having mom here with us is hard, but I can rejoice in her present victory and she has left me so many, many memories that make me laugh and you know what, it helps.
