BEST ADVENT EVER Have you ever had a Christmas where you felt like you were really prepared? Have you ever had a Christmas where you walked into Christmas Mass and you felt focused and peaceful and ready? We prepare for everything we consider important in life, and Advent is the time we prepare for Christmas. For many people, preparing for Christmas includes shopping, baking cookies, wrapping presents, hanging decorations, and much, much more. Often these activities are stressful and chaotic, and they easily become a distraction from what Christmas is really all about. Welcome to Best Advent Ever. This is a free program offered by Dynamic Catholic. To subscribe, log onto www.dynamiccatholic.com/ advent-program and register. It is that easy. As we prepare for Christmas, we are going to learn how to recognize what matters most so that we can make the best choices with our time, energy, and effort this Advent. Each week is filled with inspiring videos and testimonies that help us discover what we really want, what matters most, what matters least, how we can become the-best-version-of-ourselves, and what it means to have a fabulous Christmas. It s really important from time to time that we step back and take another look at who we are, and where we are, and what we re doing. And God understands that, and the Church understands that. And it s part of the genius of Catholicism that the Church invites us to experience a time like Advent so we really can step back and reconsider where we are in our lives. RUN/WALK Our Knights of Columbus had their 1 st 5K run/walk on Saturday, November 4 th, and were able to raise $1000 for a family in need. Thanks to everyone who participated. It was a great time! THE HEALING MINISTRY The Healing Ministry is available every Monday evening at 7:00 pm in the Bldg. A where all are welcome to join us! This is time set aside to place ourselves in the Presence of the Holy Spirit; for prayer and praise; to listen to scripture and receive teaching. All are welcome! On the 3 rd Monday of each month, the Healing Prayer Ministers are available for private prayer in the Bride s Room after the 8:00 am Mass and at 7:00 pm in Bldg. A. All prayer sessions are kept in the strictest confidence. We encourage you to come. (John 14:12-14) LADY OF GUADALUPE RAFFLE Do you have Christmas or birthday gifts in your closet that you would like to re-gift? Our Green Cove Church would like those unused gifts. They will become prizes at our annual Lady of Guadalupe celebration raffle on December 9 th after the Spanish Mass. Please contact Sandra Curtis at 284-9983 for more information.

Cost is $20 and includes lunch. Saint Paul writes: For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. (Romans 15:4). Knowing and understanding the secrets that tie the Old Testament to the New Testament makes the study of the Scripture a never-ending delight. The Old Testament is designed to be a picture book, illustrating with fascinating stories the spiritual truths presented in the New Testament. Therefore with the help of GOD we will try to discover the connections therein and gain instructions for our spiritual growth.
