June Offering: Tornado Recovery A number of devastating tornadoes have struck in Hood County, Texas (the Granbury area) and Moore, Oklahoma over the past two weeks. We can help with appropriate financial donations and relief packages. We will have special collections the next two Sundays for these purposes. In addition, you can find more information on relief packages at this site: www.umcor.org/umcor/relief-supplies. School, layette, health and bedding kits will all be needed. May s awesome program Seeing Grace in Our Workers was led by Pastor Mel and Maurie. Members were enlightened to the true meaning of Jesus parable of the vineyard and how it relates to them today. So the last will be first, and the first will be last. Matthew 20:16. Isn t it wonderful to know that God s grace looks past our merit? Whether we are worthy or unworthy we are all recipients of God s love as stated in the UMW Program Resource Book. A big thank you goes to Fanelle Bohmfalk for the delicious refreshments following the meeting. Members voted to purchase and assemble a total of twelve hygiene kits for the MISSION u Mission Action Project 2013; MANOS JUNTAS MEXICO. More details concerning this project will be announced at the June meeting. We will be hosting the June 30 th Singspiration; if you have a special song you would like to present, please contact Fanelle Bohmfalk. I close with a quote from our May program. We ought not to be weary of doing little things for the love of God, who regards not the greatness of the work, but the love with which it is performed. Enroll your child in one of the United Methodist Summer Bible Camps. Each camp features Bible studies, worship, arts and crafts, swimming and hiking, games, etc. Each is led by an ordained pastor and adult leaders and teachers. We are forming a praise and worship music group with plans to present an entire Praise and Worship Service with "K- Love" style songs using electric guitars, drums, piano and other instruments and lots of singing. Practices will be on Wed. starting at 6:00 pm in the Fountain of Life Center with child care provided. appreciated. and thanks to New Fountain Methodist Church for the use of their great facilities at no cost to HANK.
