First Presbyterian Church welcomes children of all ages in worship. A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers for all services. Following A Time for Young Disciples in the 11:00 a.m. service, ages four through six are invited to participate in Godly Play in Room 113. The Toddler s Church is available for two and three year olds in Room 116. Older children are encouraged to participate in worship. Portable hearing aids and large print Bibles, bulletins and hymns are available on the table by the entrance, or ask an usher for assistance. Our Congregation in Ministry Congregational Meeting: The annual meeting of the congregation and corporation of FPC will be held at 10:45 a.m. today in the sanctuary. MOC: The Men of the Church breakfast will be Tuesday, February 3, 7:00 a.m. at the Seahorse Restaurant. Cost is $8.50. The MOC Dinner will be Thursday, February 19, 6:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Campus Ministry will provide the program and Chris Riddle will be cooking. Presbyterian Women: The Tasting Luncheon will be held Saturday, February 7, 12:00 noon. Restaurant Round-up is the theme this year. Raffle Tickets: Raffle tickets are available to before and after worship services Frozen Foods: We need frozen foods to sell at the Tasting Luncheon, including casseroles, soups, sauces, and also chicken salad, pimento cheese, etc. Have all items to the church by February 6. Blood Drive: The FPC Fellowship Hall will be the site of an American Red Cross Blood Drive on

Sunday, February 8, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Souper Bowl of Caring: The Youth Group will collect canned food after each service today for the Souper Bowl of Caring. Presbytery Meeting: The next stated meeting of New Hope Presbytery will be held at FPC on February 28. Members of Falkland Presbyterian Church will be assisting us. Thanks to everyone who has already volunteered to be help us extend wonderful hospitality. A few needs remain such as four greeters to serve at our exterior entrances from 7:30 am 10:30 am and two afternoon ushers to serve from 12:30 pm until approximately 4:00 pm. A golf cart and a couple of golf cart driving chauffeurs would make a welcome addition to our parking lot hospitality team at the beginning and close of the day. High School Seniors/College Students: The Presbyterian Women provide scholarships for high school seniors and college students. If you are interested in applying, stop by the church office to pick up an application form. The deadline for applying is March 1. The same form is used for all scholarships the PW Scholarship, the Hubert and Mary D. Bryant Scholarship, the Anna Belle Boyd Sugg and Fordyce Harding Sugg Scholarship, and the Pandora s Box Scholarship. There is also an application available for a Women of New Hope Presbytery Scholarship. That application must be mailed and received by the Presbytery by March 1.
