A Newsletter for Radio Maria USA -- National Volume 10 Number 2 Radio Maria USA February 2017 The Joy and Sorrow of the Presentation When the time of purification came, Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to Jerusalem to present Him to the Almighty Father, in accordance with the Law of Moses. The story of Jesus Presentation in the Temple (celebrated Feb. 2) is joyful, but it has an aspect of pain. It is joyful because Jesus is proclaimed by the elder Simeon as the Savior, whom you have presented before all peoples: a light to shine on the nations and the glory of your people Israel. But Simeon announces in the midst of this joyful scene, a future of pain, directing to Mary these mysterious words: This is set so that many in Israel may fall and rise; Will be like a disputed flag: thus the attitude of many hearts will be clear. And a sword will pierce your soul. Seeing the Child in the arms of his Mother, Simeon takes him in his arms and blesses God, saying, My eyes have seen your Savior. He is the Savior of the world, yours and mine. He is the Light that God has presented before all people to light our way, to free us from the darkness of evil, to discover in Him who we are, where we come, where we are going, why we are made. Truly, He is the Light that enlightens every man who comes to this world (see Jn 1, 9). Do I let His Light enlighten me, to dispel the darkness of my ignorance? Do you walk day by day in the light of the Lord, in the light of His teachings? Jesus is not only Light, but also the Savior presented before all peoples. The Lord Jesus, by offering himself as a redemptive victim on the Cross, has borne upon us our sins, with his Blood has removed eternal death from us, and with his Resurrection has given us new life, making everything new, making us - thanks to the gift of Baptism - new men and women, beloved children of God, consecrated for Him. Through the mission of Radio Maria, our goal is to be that shining light in the world. Each day, as we welcome the Lord Jesus Christ into our hearts, let us ask Our Savior to help us be His Light to the world and to ask for His help in showing others the depth of His Mercy, the source of our salvation. Please continue to pray for our mission and support us with your donations. Father Emilio Garreaud Priest Director of Radio Maria

Its purpose was to keep parishioners informed and to help them through prayer, the daily Mass and the Rosary. Radio Maria began broadcasting from its first English-speaking station Please Like us on Facebook! Please follow us on Twitter! January 2, 2017 Message to Mirjana Dear children, My Son was the source of love and light when He spoke on earth to the people of all peoples. My apostles, follow His light. This is not easy. You must be little. You must make yourselves smaller than others; with the help of faith to be filled with His love. Not a single person on earth can experience a miraculous experience without faith. I am with you. I am making myself known to you by these comings, by these words; I desire to witness to you my love and motherly care. My children, do not waste time posing questions to which you never receive an answer. At the end of your journey on earth, the Heavenly Father will give them to you. Always know that God knows everything; God sees, God loves. My most beloved Son illuminates lives, dispels darkness; and my motherly love which carries me to you is inexpressible, mysterious but real. I am expressing my feelings to you: love, understanding and motherly benevolence. Of you, my apostles, I am asking for your roses of prayer which need to be acts of love. To my motherly heart these are the dearest prayers. I offer these to my Son Who was born for your sake. He looks at you and hears you. We are always close to you. This is the love which calls, unites, converts, encourages and fulfills. Therefore, my apostles, always love one another and above all, love my Son. This is the only way to salvation, to eternal life. This is my dearest prayer which fills my heart with the most beautiful scent of roses. Pray, always pray for your shepherds that they may have the strength to be the light of my Son. Thank you. January 25, 2017 Message to Marija Dear children! Today I am calling you to pray for peace: peace in human hearts, peace in the families and peace in the world. satan is strong and wants to turn all of you against God, and to return you to everything that is human, and to destroy in the heart all feelings towards God and the things of God. You, little children, pray and fight against materialism, modernism and egoism, which the world offers to you. Little children, you decide for holiness and I, with my Son Jesus, intercede for you. Thank you for having responded to my call. Note: These messages are not yet recognized by the Catholic as having a supernatural origin.

Father David Braquet, from the Diocese of Alexandria celebrates Mass each week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the Radio Maria studio chapel. On the other days of the week, Mass is celebrated at various churches in our listening areas. When our priest director Father Emilio Gerreaud is in the Alexandria studio once a month, he also celebrates Mass in the studio chapel. Volunteers are encouraged to come to Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel during the day. This helps us to gain graces for ourselves as well as Radio Maria.
