I would like to thank all of those who gave of their time to help man this event. Also thanks to all of those who worked the Fall Fest here at Christ the King church with out your help it would not have been possible to man our venue. How his month we have our business meeting on November 7 don t forget to vote on November 8 officers meeting on the 12 0n the 19th we have the 50th anniversary of Christ the King Parish Pancake Breakfast on the 20th and then Thanksgiving on the 24. We also have coats for kids this month also So enjoy the holidays don t forget to be thankful for the blessings that you have received this year remember a lot of people are not as blessed as we are in this great country. We have a lot of freedoms that a majority of the world do not and are not able to have. 2 3RD Degree Business Meeting 10-3-2016 Grand Knight Matt Hatch Reported as follows: Thank you notes were received from Christ the King Church and from Sally Hermsdorfer thanking the Knights for the donation to the Building fund in the name of Art Hermsdorfer. Thanks were also expressed to Remie Granier, Dwight Wood, Don Coker, DJ Godwin, Francis Miller, and to Matt Hatch for helping with the spaghetti dinner at Sacred Heart School to raise money for the Pretti Scholarship Fund. Approximately $2500. was riased., making this one of the most successful fund raisers for the scholarship fund. Also thanks t a who helped unload the pumpkins from the truck on September 30. Knights of the Month for August was Brad Knox; Knight of the Month for September Aljendro Velez for September and the family of the month for September was Robert and Wendy Wilson. Financial Secretary Paul Shahan reported that we have on the roster 178 members which is a plus 2 and our insurance we still need 4 members. Membership Chairman Don Coker: remember the steak dinner that will be served to the members by the state council if we achieve our membership and insurance quota by December 31. Thanks to a the members who turned out to help with the Bingo at the Golden Living Center. Program Chairman Greg Henry : Our Hispanic Brothers did very well on the Taco and shaved ice. Adopt a Highway program was a great success with a good turn out Church Activity no report Youth Activity Chairman Dan Bicknell: the youth soccer kickoff and free throw challenge which was held at Holy Spirit had four winners the soccer and free throw here at Christ the King will be held during the Fall Fest on October 15 Council Activity Chairman Lonnie Treadaway: State likes our activities and our newsletter so be sure and send items to them Pro Life - Had 20 people standing in fornt of the church on Sunday October 2
3 3rd DEGREE BUSINESS MEETING CONTINUED Round Table: Good Shepherd: Breakfast after the 9:00AM Mass St Gregory: Catholic Students from Northwest Community College were represented at the All Faiths Conference Father Gregory was there and did a very good presentation in speaking to the students regarding the Catholic Faith. Holy Spirit: Bazaar was a success with over $20,000 raised. Old Business: On October 14 will set up for Fall Fest - please be there by 10:00AM Pancake Breakfast will be held on October 23 not the 17 New Business: Unite in service on kofc website enter your service hours there it makes the Fraternal Service form easier to fill out at the end of the Fraternal year Also remember that there are 5 Sundays in this month so the last Sunday in the month at 9:00AM the Rosary will be said on that Sunday Dan Garrigan was elected to the position of Advocate for our Council 4th Degree: Best Books are available The Master of Tennessee has requested a Fourth Degree Color Guard for the installation of the new Bishop of Memphis it is being held at Cannon Center at 2:00PM on October 19 they need as many as can be there in Regalia as possible District Deputy Dennis Fink: Thanks to the council for all their hard work and for being of assistance in the transferring of the Silver Rose - The District is doing very well in membership goals, keep up the good work.

5 Recap of Fourth Degree Meeting October 17 Communications Thank you notes from Sally Hermsdorfer and Christ the King for the donation to the building fund in the memory of Arthur Hermsdorfer Faithful Comptroller we are now at 60 members in our assembly Unfinished Business - Don t forget the Best Book Sales after the Masses at all four parish s for the next two weekends Project Package it was suggested by John Robinson that all the youth should be invited to join the sending of packages to our servicemen to help complete their service hours. New Business on the 19th of October the new bishop of the Memphis Diocese will be installed at the Cannon Center an Honor guard has been requested for that day On November 20 the Bishop fo Jackson will say mass at St Gregory at 8:00AM and at Holy Spirit at 10:30 AM Honor Guard has been requested Council 7120 Report: Coats for Kids Collection and Christmas Cards to be sold on the first two weekends in November there will be a Christmas Party for the Council on December 17.
