Purim Evening Service Our Purim evening service, including the reading of the "Megillah," will be held on Wednesday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. Hamantaschen will be served following the service. Special Service of Tribute to Cantor Berman This year marks the fifth anniversary of the passing of our beloved Cantor Abraham Berman, of blessed memory. Cantor Berman's yahrzeit will be commemorated at our Sabbath Evening Service at 8 : 15 p.m. on Friday, March 8th. Cantor Pscheidt will pay tribute to Cantor Berman during this service by incorporating some of Cantor Berman's music into our liturgy. We are certain you will want to be present for this service of tribute to Cantor Berman, who served Temple Beth-El for over 50 years. Rabbi Brickman to Teach at St. Aloysius Rabbi Brickman will be teaching a course on the Book of Exodus at St. Aloysius Church on West Side Avenue. The course will be held on Monday evenings, March 4, 11, and 18 from 7:30-9:00 p.m. The course will include a discussion of Moses, the revelation at Mt. Sinai, and the Feast of Passover. Following the course, Rabbi Brickman will conduct a model Seder on Thursday, March 21. The course is open to the public. The registration fee for those who are not members of St. AI's is $12.00. Violet Zall-Hordes Lecture Temple Beth-EI proudly presents Yael Dayan Sunday April 21, 1991 Donation: $10. 00 Including Breakfast, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Ms. Dayan is the daughter of the late Israeli General Moshe Dayan. Ms. Dayan studied political science at the Hebrew University and served in the Israeli army from 1956-58. In 1967, Ms. Dayan became a lieutenant in the Israeli Army Reserve, while pursuing a career as a journalist. Ms. Dayan's experiences in the military served as the basis for many of her highly acclaimed novels. Her most recent book, My Father His Daughter, is an account of her relationship with her father. Ms. Dayan also contributes frequently to Israeli and international newspapers, and she currently writes political columns for two Israeli newspapers. She is also a member of the Central Committee of the Israeli Labor Party and continues to serve in the Israeli Army Reserves.
