October 31 marks the 500th anniversary of The Reformation. Trinity Lutheran would like to do a virtual walk/run/bike to Wittenberg in observance of the Reformation. It is 4,495 miles from Jamestown to Wittenberg so we want to log 4,495 miles...as a group. To participate, you need to log the miles you walk, run, bike, swim or whatever then report the distance to Pam Schmiedeberg via e-mail at pschmiedeberg23@gmail.com or call 320-1389. You can also use the Map My Walk app to keep track. If you Friend Trinity in the app, we can access your miles. We will keep track on the hallway located near the offices. School Supply Drive Back-to-school sales have started and so has Trinity s annual school supply drive. Once again, we are packing school kits for Lutheran World Relief. A box is in the Gathering Space for donations of blunt school scissors, rulers with centimeter markings, 2½-inch erasers, black or blue ballpoint pens (not gel), boxes of 16 crayons (most needed), pencil sharpners and 70-sheet notebooks (8x 10½). Thank you for being a part of the education solution! The 2018 ELCA National Youth Gathering is scheduled for June 22 to July 2, 2018 in Houston Texas. High school students from Trinity will join thousands of ELCA youth from for a week of faith formation. The cost is $1,600, which includes travel, lodging and meals for the entire trip.
