Grand Knight s Report Br. Douglas McRonney-Apaw Brothers, Advent tells us Christ is near, and Christmas tells us that Christ is here. This is the time of the year we look back and reflect and thank God for our blessings. It has been a great year for our council and the parish community. I would like to thank all those who supported our efforts to raise money and donate to help with the breakfast club in our parish schools, the church, and needy families in our community. We have so much to be grateful for and we thank God for all his blessings. As many families gather for this festive season, the question of our faith sometimes arises; the church s tradition speaks of the great gift brought by Jesus. Those who believe, see, and they see with a light that illuminates their entire journey, for it comes from Jesus Christ, the morning star that never sets. And in Mathew chapter 5 versus 16 sums it up. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Brother Zolio De Guzman on the completion of his 4 th Degree Exemplification on November 16 th 2014. Let us also keep in our thoughts and prayers, our Brother Bill Ivory and his family, on their recent loss of Della and may she rest in peace. As many of you are already aware, we will be having our New Year s Eve Dinner and Dance this year and we need you to come out and support this event as proceeds goes to support our work in the parish community. The Children Christmas Party will be held on December 7 th 2014, following the 12:00 o clock Mass. Dinner for the needy families will be held on Sunday December 14 th after the 12:00 pm Mass. We will hold our Family/Pot Luck on Monday December 15 th after the 7:00pm mass instead of our general meeting and please plan to attend. The St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive campaign has been lunched, and we will need your support to donate non perishable food to this worthwhile cause. We need brother knights to volunteer in all activities and to help our parish community. I would like to thank Fr. Lorenzo and Fr. Jimmy for their guidance, and the parish community for their continuous support of our council.
