The Breakthrough Fellowship 2014 BIG Things Happened Annual Report 1 The Breakthrough Fellowship Annual Report 2014

2014 Annual Report Pastor s Word Ephesians 2:19-21 tells us: You re no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You re no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He s using us all irrespective of how we got here in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home. 2014 was an amazing year of growth, firsts and wonderful experiences at The Breakthrough Fellowship. As I look back and reflect on them, God has done more in our short, four year history as a church than we ever could have asked, imagined or dreamed! Lives have been changed. Breakthroughs have been achieved. And our territory has been enlarged. God s hand has definitely been on this house. I am grateful for everyone who volunteered, sowed a seed and prayed for this church. Because of your continued support and God s grace, something BIG truly happened in 2014. On behalf of everyone who gave his or her life to Christ at The Breakthrough Fellowship in 2014 we want to say Welcome Home! This annual report is one of the ways we celebrate God s faithfulness and it helps you understand why God s work at The Breakthrough Fellowship is the best investment that you can make with your time, talent and resources. We pray that you see it as a testimony to how BIG our God is and that it encourages you to commit yourself to the vision and the mission of The Breakthrough Fellowship. One more thing before I go... I love being your pastor and I love our church! Rev. Charles Maxell, Jr., Senior Pastor 2 The Breakthrough Fellowship Annual Report 2014

From the 1 st Family, Thank You for a wonderful year! 3 The Breakthrough Fellowship Annual Report 2014

2014 A Very Good Year A few of the highlights January: We started the year as we always do, in prayer and mediation, with The Breakthrough FAST 2014. We were also blessed to host our 1st TBF Revival! March - April: We celebrated the Easter season with Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday and an Easter Sunday worship service that included a wonderful play by our BTKids. At the end of the month, we joined hundreds of others at Piedmont Park and participated in the MS Walk Atlanta - our 1 st health and fitness outing as a church family. June: We looked good in WHITE - our 1 st TBF in White Service was celebrated! And, our BTKids enjoyed another successful Summer Camp...get ready for 2015! July: FAMILY & FRIENDS DAY 2014! August: 9 people chose to make a public profession of their faith and were baptized at TBF. Our 1 st BTKids Showcase was a great success and we also held our annual Back 2 School campaign, collecting more than 100 school supply items benefiting Brumby Elementary School. October: Pastor and 1st Family Appreciation Celebration November: LOVE WEEK 2014 raised the bar our church family completed more than 150 hours of service in the community. December: BTKids Christmas Production - The Christmas Cupcake, Christmas Giving Tree collection benefiting The Center for Children and Young Adults, our 1 st Kwanzaa Celebration, and to end a great year, WATCH NIGHT SERVICE with the sermon entitled: Won t He Do It! 4 The Breakthrough Fellowship Annual Report 2014

In 2014, we accomplished that by: Giving away more than $13,000 to local and national ministry groups. Collecting and donating school supplies, clothing, and baby items, and over the holidays, providing more than 100 toys to children for Operation Christmas Tree. 17 As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, 19 thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life that really is life. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 NRSV Itemized income and balance sheets are available upon request. 9 So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up. 10 So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 Mission to Serve Support and Serving Others TBF Family Thank you! Our church family demonstrated tremendous generosity in 2014. Not only did we collect school supplies, and various donations over the year, but we also completed more than 300 hours of service. That is a wonderful accomplishment and speaks to the love and giving spirit of your church. They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
