The trip will depart from Our Lady of Victory Church at 8:45am on a chartered motor coach. Our group will attend the Pilgrimage Mass at 11:00am followed by Pilgrimage Devotions. We will return by 5:00pm to OLV Church. Space is limited to 26 attendees, so register quickly to reserve a seat. Cost for the trip is $22.00 per person (a tip for the driver will be collected on the bus-it is NOT included in the price of the trip). TWENTY-FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME on Thursday, September 28. Look for sign-up sheets for baking and serving to be posted in the Church Vestibule. BAKERS: Please have your cookies, brownies and cupcakes delivered to VICTORY HALL by noon on September 28. The cookies do not need to be individually wrapped. And please package your desserts to protect them during transport, and label them with YWCA. Because of food allergies please do not bake with nuts or peanut butter. All children in grades K-5 are welcome to attend and will be called forward by the celebrant at the start of the 11:00am mass. RCIA is a program of instruction, discovery and discernment that runs from late September until April. OLV NURSERY: During the 11:00am mass located in the Atrium Classroom in the OLV Basement, babysitting will be provided for children ages 18 months to 5 years old; Children may be dropped off beginning at 10:50am and should be picked up by 11:10am. We welcome, Mckennah Oddi, who is our nursery worker this year. She is fully compliant with Protecting God's Children and BCI fingerprinting. She is a recent Watterson graduate and is attending Columbus State Community College along with working as a nanny for a family. Mckennah has been involved with our parish through her grandparents who are parishioners here at OLV. The nursery will be open: September 17 and 24; October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29; November 5, 12, and 19 and December 3, 10, and 17. COLOR Your World With Prayer Pre-K through 5th grade classes begin this Sunday, September 17th at 9:30am - 10:40am Parents drop off your child to class and join us for the parent meeting at 9:40am in the Parish Life Center! Our opening day speaker will be Michele Faehnle She will be speaking to you about the power of prayer in her own life and how to incorporate it into your busy lives. Michele is the co-author of the award winning best seller Divine Mercy for Moms, and the newly released book The Friendship Project. She is also co-director of the Columbus Catholic Women's Conference and a contributor to CatholicMom.com. She is the school nurse at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Upper Arlington where Michele and her husband Matthew are raising their four children. CHOSEN 6-8TH GRADE CLASSES BEGIN ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH 9:40AM-10:45AM 6th and 7th grade meet in classrooms 8th grade to the Parish Life Center Chad Cacchio, a former OSU football player and parishioner will speak to the CHOSEN kids about his faith and living it out in today's world. BI-MONTHLY HEALING MASS AT SAINT JOSEPH CATHEDRAL: A Mass of Healing and Healing Service will be celebrated on Monday, September 18, 6:30pm at Saint Joseph Cathedral, 212 East Broad Street. Following the Mass, a Service of Healing will begin with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Veneration of relic of the True Cross of Christ, followed by an opportunity for each person to speak individually with a priest and receive prayers of healing for what they seek; the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick will also be available. Bi-monthly Healing Masses take place at the Cathedral on the third Monday of the month; the next Healing Mass is scheduled for November 20. During 2018 Healing Masses are scheduled for: January 15, March 19, May 21, July 16, September 17, and November 19. THE RED WAGON EVENT TO CHALLENGE POVERTY sponsored by the Christ Child Society of Columbus will be on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Villa Milano Banquet and Conference Center beginning at 10:30am. Red Wagon Fare features a luncheon, a shopping boutique of vendors from Central Ohio and a style show provided by ModeAlise, LeFlair and Lilylimes. Proceeds from the event go to support projects for at-risk infants and children in the Columbus area. In Ohio, 1 in 5 children is living below the poverty level. Christ Child Society members are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of these children and work to challenge poverty one child at a time.
