Campaign 2018 - Our Campaign Focus As mentioned in last week's bulletin, "we came to a mutual agreement to sell the Rectory for future development purposes, while at the same time purchasing property adjacent to the Church to secure parking for our Parishioners." The details of the proposed transaction that were presented at Parish meetings are listed as follows: Land Purchase Less: Rectory sale $ 1,800,000 $ 250,000 Total $ 1,550,000 Land Financing Down Payment $ 250,000 Mortgage $ 1,300,000 Total $1, 550,000 Our Campaign 2018 objective is to raise $1,000,000 to finance the purchase of this property as well as carrying out planned maintenance expenditures over the next five years. In summary, the financial details for the campaign are listed as follows: Maintenance South side Roof Replacement $60,000 Upper and Lower North side Roof Replacement 60,000 Interior Painting of main Church including the Sanctuary 25,000 Window repairs for Main Entrance, Bell Tower & both sides of the Church 15,000 Replacement of the heating controls including the panel 25,000 Total $185,000 Property Mortgage payments (5 Years) $465,000 Operational costs (5 Years) 200,000 Parking lot enhancements (i.e.: fencing and equipment) 150,000 Total $815,000 The acquisition of additional parking will ensure the continued and future presence of Saint Bernard's Church for generations to come.
