Safeguard the Children MONITOR ONLINE ACTIVITY ON ALL DEVICES In the past, parents had been advised to place the family computer in an open area such as a kitchen or family room so that they may easily monitor activity. Today, most social contact, especially among young people, is conducted almost exclusively on smart phones and tablets. Technology continues to rapidly change. All of us must continue our efforts to stay abreast of the many new mobile device apps that may be used by young people to communicate with others and could potentially be used to manipulate or abuse them. These manifestations of the Spirit come to fruition through us, for we have ability to give the gifts of faith, healing, and of mighty deeds. Today God calls upon each one of us here to share our gifts with our brothers and sisters in Christ that are in need of them. Through Together in Mission we can share our mighty deeds and give the healing and faith to the communities that simply would not be here without them. Though our church is large, our strength lies not in our numbers, but in our compassion and ability to respond. Every gift, regardless of the size, matters. What is important is that we give what we can and answer this calling of our faith. During all Masses this weekend, we will conduct the in-pew process for the collection of gifts & pledges to this year s appeal. Together we can make sure God s love and presence are felt by all, especially those in need. God bless you for your generous response and support.
