A Word of Farewell from Cantor Sarah Pscheidt These months of spring are a season of change. May 17th marked my investiture as a Cantor. July 1st marks the beginning of my new pulpit at Temple Sinai in Atlanta, Georgia. While at once exciting, these events are tinged with sadness, for they both mean I will be leaving Temple Beth-El. The working relationships and friendships developed here will serve as a model for me in the years to come. This Temple's congregational family has been a source of strength to me during my school years. Wherever the cantorate takes me, Temple Beth-El will always be in my heart. I take great pride in being a part of this congregation's long history. Service of Tribute to Cantor Sarah Pscheidt Please join us on Friday evening, June 12th when we will thank Cantor Pscheidt for her service to our congregation, and wish her well as she moves to her new pulpit. Following the service, there will be a special Oneg Shabbat in the Cantor's honor. Shavuot Service-Sunday, June 7th We hope you will attend our beautiful service for the morning of the Festival of Shavuot. Shavuot commemorates the giving of the Torah to Moses on Mount Sinai and provides us all with an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to our Jewish faith. Please note that at last year's congregational meeting, our congregation voted to conform with the practice of our Reform Movement and to conduct services only on the first day of each of the festivals. Therefore, you will notice that we will hold our Yizkor Memorial Service during Shavuot morning worship on Sunday, June 7th. Please share with us in this beautiful and inspiring service.
