December 2015 The R oyal Gazette A t C T K, w e a r e r o y a l a n d 440 First Street West Brooks, Alberta T1R 1L7 403-362-4767 Principal: Kelly Ehalt Vice Principal: Jennifer Rorke i s t n o b l e The season of Advent is a season of preparation; doing what we can to make ready for Christ s coming. It has been said that if we want to keep Christ in Christmas we ought to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, forgive the guilty, welcome the stranger and unwanted child, care for the ill, and love our enemies. Doing what we can involves practically keeping Christ in Christmas. Advent is a season of waiting waiting for the coming of God in our time. C h r f o l e s i p i s c d At school, we continue in our educational pursuits. Students continue their academic studies. We also spend much time in prayer and good works during this holy season. As our school holidays approach, it is our wish that you truly have holy days, rooted in the presence of God. May the blessings and peace of the Advent and Christmas seasons fill the hearts of you and your loved ones. Kelly and Jennifer Fr. Ron Rolheiser puts it this way: [we are] creating time for Christ, time for the poor, time for hospitality, time for celebration and time for prayer. To make a holiday is to, ultimately, make a holy day.

Each and every day students at Christ the King Academy are called to be noble and royal disciples of Christ. Joyfully, Christ the King Academy students celebrated their feast day with a Royal Feast.
