By doing so, you will help us keep our cemetery not only a place of prayer but a place of beauty too. The Ireland Historical Society will be bringing another program of interest to the public on Sunday, April 14, at 1:30pm in the Historical Society Building. On October 23, 1879 a newspaper was published in Ireland called The Ireland Argus. In 1922, the Ireland High School published The Beacon. Later in 1950 the high school published The Irish Gazette. Now in this century we have The Ireland Times. Ireland Elementary students along with their mentor, Susan Gossett, will be present to tell us about this newspaper. Please come and learn how these 3rd-5th graders put this paper together. The public is invited. Please come and bring a friend. Refreshments provided following the program.
