People: So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting, Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord the King of Israel! Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it; as it is written: People: Do not be afraid, daughter of Zion. Look, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey s colt! Receiving Prayer of Illumination It is our prayer that as we focus on this Palm Sunday we will be reminded of the journey that Jesus made on his way to the cross and what it means for our lives. We give praise and thanks that Jesus became the bridge between earth and heaven.

The Youth lock-in weekend (March 4-5) was a success! We had 22 Youth attend the festivities and help with the pancake breakfast. We had a lesson about God s presence being all around us, and even though we can t see him, we can feel him using science projects involving Alka-Seltzer tablets, air guns, plastic cups, and fans! We then went to Red Ray Lanes for some Cosmic Bowling and then back to church for a late night snack, night games, and movie watching. The next morning we were up early to participate in our last fundraiser, a pancake feed and raised just a little bit over $500 at the breakfast! I heard that Zak Ness and Dustin Martin were fantastic flapjack flippers! And, Patrick Lamberson once again showed that he was the best hider when playing Sardines. All the Youth pitched in to help with this last fundraising activity and should all be commended especially after getting less than 3 hours of sleep the night before. Special thanks go out to John Martin, Rex Huss, Julie Sturges, Mark and Laurie Guy, Pat Henry, Coleen Asche, UMW, Hugo s on South Washington, and Todd Daniels and all the other folks who helped out or contributed in any way with this weekend s activities.
