FALL BACK Daylight Savings Time ends Sunday, November 5. STILL THINKING? We re looking forward to hearing your answers to the two essential questions that will help guide our Parish Pastoral Plan. The first question looks inward to you as a disciple What do you need to embrace the Catholic faith more deeply and practice it more fully? The second question looks outward to both our parish and the communities in which we live What do you need to more effectively reflect the meaning of Catholic Christianity in your community? The online survey is available at pastoralplan.steas.net, and paper surveys may be found at Connections Corner in the narthex and at the Hertzler Road entrance. Please give thoughtful and prayerful consideration to your spiritual journey. You may find this homily on the Beatitudes helpful: bit.ly/bishopbarron_beatitudes Prefer to chat? Please contact Tim Danko, pastoralplan@steas.net, for a workshop or interview. Thank you for your participation! SNOWBIRD ALERT! Did you know you can save the parish money by letting the office know that you are spending the winter in warmer climes? Give us a heads up, and we will temporarily stop mailings of parish envelopes and The Catholic Witness. (And then, of course, let us know when you re back!) You may not be aware that we are charged for mailings that can t be delivered, or if you have suspended or changed your address with the post office. Thanks! FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION Adoration with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament begins after the 9 am Mass on First Fridays and ends at 4 pm with Benediction and Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Make time to be with our Lord! Sign-up sheets are available at the Welcome Desk on weekends and after morning Masses on weekdays. AFTER THIS I HAD A VISION of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands. They cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation comes from our God, who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb." (Rev. 7) ALL SAINTS DAY is Wednesday, November 1. ON THE MORNING OF APRIL 21, 1977, Father Daniel Menniti was named pastor of the new parish of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton in Mechanicsburg. He asked Marcy and Henry Aschenbrenner to invite a small group of people about 10 to 12 to a Mass that he wanted to celebrate that very evening at their home. Henry Aschenbrenner, who worked at the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference at the time, is credited with suggesting the name for our parish to then-bishop Joseph T. Daley. Henry also served as the lector at that Mass.
