Use the talent God has given you. Join us on Monday nights at 7 PM for practice. You will have a wonderful time and leave humming some of these tunes all week long! Ash Wednesday Service 7pm Lent begins February 14th! Whew! Didn t we just have Christmas? And now Lent? Remember, the seasons in church are a teaching tool about the life of Christ. Advent begins the liturgical year anticipating the birth of Jesus, the Messiah. Epiphany is the current season that sheds light on his ministry that shows he is the Messiah. Lent takes us through the 40 days of His temptation, teaching, and last week of His life. Lent officially begins with Ash Wednesday, which is Wednesday, February 14th. We will have Ash Wednesday services 7:00 p.m. The palm leaves from last year s Palm Sunday will be burned and become the ashes that are put on our foreheads in the mark of a cross.

Ok, I ve been asked to be short and sweet! Well, I am clearly neither, but this article might be! January found our kids donating a book to the Fruitvale Church of Christ s Library. Very cool, you guys! The Tribe will be watching the Super Bowl together at our house this weekend...finally! A reason to care about the game! February 9th is our Valentines Dinner. It is our chance to serve and mingle. There will be great music, great friends, and great food! Grab some friends and join us. See me for tickets, or call the office for reservations. In March, we will be rock climbing in Tyler, thanks to a very kind donation from the Orchards. Now for the sweet portion I love y all! blairbear :) The NFL Super Bowl is on Sunday, February 4th. Please bring a canned food item to be donated to our Breaking Bread food pantry to service with you that weekend. In 1990, the Soup-er Bowl of Caring was birthed with a simple prayer said be Rev. Brad Smith of Spring Valley Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina: Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat. A national movement was born and since then over $50 million in funds and food items have been collected in towns across the US and donated to their local food pantries. Local organizations then report to the national organization to celebrate the total amount collected. What is the United Methodist Church all about? Who is the Church? Why do we go to church? What is in The Bible? Why do we read it? Who is God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit? How was the Church started? Why do we worship? What is Baptism & Communion? What is God s Plan? Come learn the answers to all of these questions with Pastor Mark from 9:45 10:30 am upstairs in the Children s Wing starting February 18th. New members, old members, Visitors, Anyone can come! Come Learn What it Means to..
