P a ge 7 Prayer Page April 2017 Pray for the pastors: Lord, let our pastors have a discerning mind to prioritize the precious minutes in the day. Let our pastors discern what is most important and be guarded against the tyranny of the urgent. (2 Corinthians 11:14, John 4:1) The Pray! Prayer Journal, Nov Press 2003, p.155 Praying for LPC ministries: Session: We ask the Lord for direction as to how to best serve Him in the local community. Christian Education Committee: Pray for our camp staff as they work this month to write this year s camp curriculum. Outreach Committee: The Outreach Committee requests prayer for Pastor Kelly as he completes his doctoral thesis. Also pray that his return to the pulpit in April and the Easter holidays be a time of renewal for the congregation and an opportunity to welcome guests to LPC. Prayer for our country: Please pray that our military personnel will be allowed to hear and speak the gospel message. Pray that chaplains will have the freedom to speak the truth of God s word to those who need the hope that only Christ can give. Those in the military go into the most dangerous places in the world to defend our liberty. They need the assurance of God s presence with them. Pray also for those in the military and the government who want to deny this message of hope and peace. Pray that their spiritual eyes will be opened. Prayer for our world: Pray for the people of North Korea. Many are incarcerated in deplorable conditions, especially Christians. To be found with a Bible or any Christian material brings imprisonment and often execution. Pray for those in China who live near the border with North Korea and who try to help Koreans who escape their country s persecution.
