(Jesus Others You) To Proclaim Christ s Love In the World With Joy Pastor s Letter to the congregation Dear Members of St. Peter s Lutheran, June 23, 2014 It has been an honor and a joy to serve as your Interim Pastor since February 1. Thank you for welcoming me into your lives and ministry through St. Peter s. I have been blessed to come to know, love, and cherish you all. After conferring with the Synod staff, regarding the Interim needs of our Synod, we have decided that it is time for me to move on to another congregation that is just beginning the Interim process. My last Sunday to lead worship at St. Peter s will be July 6. My last day that I will be available as your Interim Pastor will be July 12. After July 12 th, I will no longer be able to serve as your Interim Pastor in any way. Thank you for sharing your lives and ministry with me. I have enjoyed serving here. I have been blessed to learn some of the traditions that are unique to this congregation. I will share some of them with other congregations. I will remember our time together fondly. St. Peter s is a good place to serve as a pastor or as a member. I have talked with your new pastor, Rev. Don Glanzer, on the phone. I will be meeting with him in person this coming week. I have already shared my feelings about St. Peter s with him. Share your love for Jesus with Pastor Don, in the same way you have with me. You can do whatever God calls you to do, if you commit yourselves to work together for the sake of Jesus through St. Peter s. In Christ, Pastor Jeffrey M. Tomberlin
