WalkTalk Chattanooga-LaFayette Emmaus Community December 2015 Greetings, As we come to the end of 2015, I would like to take a few moments to express the community s thanks to all of those who have served on teams, worked in the kitchen, made agape, helped setup the camp, sponsored candidates, and last but certainly not least prayed for pilgrims and for the community and its needs during the past year. As I have said before prayer is what powers this community. I would also like to thank all of the churches that have opened their doors for our gatherings this past year! It has been an honor to lead the Chattanooga/Lafayette Emmaus and Chrysalis as your Community Lay Director this year. It has been a humbling and rewarding experience. To God be the glory for the way the Community supported each Walk and Flight. The hosts for many gathering had to get out more tables and chairs because of the terrific attendance. Now I reach the end of this season of service. Please continue to remain faithful to the Community with sponsorships, service and financial support. This community has grown so strong after 25 years of existence and it needs to be salt and light in our community for another 25 years! I thank you for the opportunity to serve with so many prayer warriors and Godly men, women and teenagers. As each of us completes a faithful service to Him, remember the word of Paul as he reflected over three decades of being an apostle. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 We have completed 64 Women s Walks, 54 s Men s Walks, and 45 Chrysalis Flights and 10 Crossroads Journeys! That equates to about 3,000 community members. At the December Gathering, we will recognize and honor every former Lay Director from Emmaus, Chrysalis, and Crossroads conducted by our Community. We will also hear about the history of our community how it was formed and by whom and get a taste of the future. YA LL COME!! Meet our Lay Director; Patti Harris. Patti was a pilgrim on Women s Walk #3 in March 1991. Patti has been married to Don Harris for 31 years and they have two daughters, Amanda 24 and Allison 20. She also has two cats-mo and Duckie. Patti Harris Now we have come to the season of Christmas where we celebrate the birth of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. I hope and pray you will come worship with us at the Gathering on Monday, December 14 th! As the angel proclaimed in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, good will toward men." Happy birthday, Jesus. And Merry Christmas to one and all. DeColores!

Thank You As the year draws to a close, we would like to say a big thank you to those who are completing their terms on the Emmaus Board of Directors and Non- Board Support! You guys did an amazing job! We have been blessed by your service to our community!
