Grand Knights ' Message Chaplains ' Message My Brother Knights, family and friends, welcome to St. Joseph the Worker Council s 2003 Columbus Day and Past Grand Knight Dinner Dance. We are gathered here tonight to honor our immediate Past Grand Knight, Mike Walsh, and all the Past Grand Knights from this great council, as well as those who have transferred in from other councils. Mike has served this council well for seven years, holding several elected offices. Most recently Mike was our Grand Knight for the fraternal year 2002-2003. Mike implemented several programs that brought exposure to the council, from having a Rosary service for the unborn to holding a Living Rosary service. We take time this evening to recognize Mike s efforts and to congratulate him on his fine work. Also, we come to recognize this evening, all the Past grand Knights who preceded Mike. It is through their tireless and selfless contributions that our council has flourished. Our continuing gratitude and support of this council is owed to these past and all future Grand Knights. Finally, my thanks to LeRoy Rhodes and his committee for making this evening a success and for all the members and their families for coming here tonight. Mike has used his talents and his time to sustain and promote our beloved Saint Joseph the Worker, Council 4215. His zeal to promote many activities of The Knights of Columbus and a pleasant atmosphere in our monthly meeting is quite evident.
