Outreach (local & global) Uganda Between July 9, and 25, River Valley will have a team in Uganda, attending to the many needs of our orphans and students. Some will be in Koboko, where our National Director, Camille Hadlock, resides...others will be visiting over six rescue units and SonShine Christian High School, (R.V.C. s high school outside Iganga, Uganda) If you sponsor one of our 1200 orphans, please write them a letter of greeting and encouragement and we ll hand deliver them for you. Please turn the letters into the church office with their name and rescue unit on the outside of the envelope. They will greatly treasure it. And please...keep this team in your prayers. Peru We have a team of eleven traveling to Iquitos, Peru from July 29- August 12. Peru is very open to the Gospel. They also require high school and university students to speak English. This makes it very easy to teach English as a second language, which the team will be doing. They will also be working with drug addicts, ex-cons and convicts in prisons, evangelizing and discipling. They will visit schools and government facilities, giving access to share the Gospel with many. They will hold eye glass clinics, and perform street skits/dramas for the general public. Please pray for their funding to come in. Pray for health and safety. Life Group Spotlight Tim & Rachel Sorenson Young Adult Group The Young Adults group has been meeting on Thursdays at 7pm for the last 6 years. The Sorensons do everything they think a young adult needs or wants in a Life Group: socializing, worship, discussion and guy only/ girl only prayer groups. Last June, they participated in Serve GP by painting at North Valley High School. Tim says, We enjoy coming together and worshiping a God that loves us unconditionally!
