the 4th day newsletter October 16, 2012 A MESSAGE FROM WALK #150 LAY DIRECTOR WOW! what an amazing Journey the last 6 years have been. In March 2006 CAEW # 87 I came to Camp Alamisco, scared and not real sure why I had agreed to this, but I am so glad I did. Women s Walk #150 Oct 17-20 Lynn Mitchell - Lay Director Mike Wells Spiritual Director Lake Martin Cluster I found what I had been searching for my entire life, the love of Jesus Christ. That weekend I surrendered control of my life to Him, I gave Him my whole heart. I am so humbled to be serving as Lay Director of walk 150 and in awe as I have watched Him work God has blessed me so much. October is absolutely my favorite time of the year. God is so good! Times To Remember Wednesday 7pm Send-Off Friday 7pm Candlelight Saturday 7am Serenade Saturday 4pm Closing From the bottom of my heart, I want to Thank You to all who have served or will serve on walk 150 either in the Conference Room or the Background. I appreciate all of the Emmaus Community for what you have done and will do for the precious ladies of walk 150. I look forward to seeing your smiling faces as we serve one another showing the love of Jesus and His amazing love for US! De Colores! A MESSAGE FROM WALK #149 SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR I don t think there is any place in the country as pretty as October on the shores of Lake Martin. October is the beginning of fall, when the leaves are starting to change from green to orange, red & yellow. It s that time of the year when we can feel the weather starting to cool down & the days are drawing shorter. Yes, no doubt about it, change is definitely on the way. I don t know about you, but I am also praying for a different kind of change to take place on October 17, 2012. That is when Walk 150 takes place. I want to ask you to please join with me and the rest of the Conference Room Team as we pray for the women on Walk 150. Pray with us, that God will use the Conference Room Team as his servants and our hearts will be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit; pray that Christ will be high and lifted up so all will be drawn to him, and pray that the 36 pilgrim s on Walk 150 will see the face of God and that their ears and hearts will be opened to hear his voice as He calls out to them. Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 3: 1, To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. Pray with me that October 17-20, 201, will be the season of change for the pilgrims on walk 150. Yes, October means change and may Walk 150 be the best walk ever. Hoots are gatherings of all of the young people and adults who have participated in Chrysalis for the purpose of renewing relationships, rekindling the fire of faith, and planning to support upcoming Chrysalis weekends. Then the two from Emmaus told their story of how Jesus had appeared to them as they were walking along the road, and how they had recognized him as he was breaking the bread. Luke 24:35 (NLT) Hoots are also an opportunity for teenagers who have not attended Chrysalis to learn about Chrysalis and the Chrysalis community. We invite You and your family to come!
