Acts 1:9 ESV Before Jesus ascended into Heaven to take His rightful place at the Father s right hand, He told the Apostles to stay put until the Holy Spirit came to them. Then they would be empowered to go and boldly proclaim in His name the message of repentance and forgiveness, first to Jerusalem and in all of Judah and Samaria, and ultimately to the ends of the earth. The mission and commission the Apostles received is ours today, to continually sew the seeds of the Good News. means to be seated means to stand, unless repeated standing is difficult PRELUDE CALL TO WORSHIP RINGING OF THE BELLS

Together as His people let us take refuge in the infinite mercy of God, our heavenly Father, seeking His grace for the sake of Christ, and saying: God, be merciful to me, a sinner. Silence for personal confession C: Almighty God, have mercy upon us, forgive us our sins, and lead us to everlasting life. Amen. P: Almighty God in His mercy has given His Son to die for you and for His sake forgives you all your sins.
