Lesson 1: Star-struck Series at a Glance for Elevate (continued) Have you ever acted like someone you re not, just to fit in? This week, we ll find out that Jesus friends weren t perfect, and why that was ok. We ll also discover that whatever is happening, whatever we re feeling, we can be real with Jesus. Lesson 2: On The Road Imagine, you get the chance to meet two super star musicians. The first one gives you a signature, but then doesn t listen to anything else you say. The second one, though, learns your name, listens to you, and asks you some questions. Who do you like better? Probably the person who has time for you. This week, we ll see how Jesus made time for others, and how that changed one woman s life. Lesson 3: On Break Have you ever wanted to just relax? Once, while Jesus was taking a break, someone bothered him. Instead of being annoyed, though, Jesus took the chance to show the person how much He cares about them. Find out what happened, this week! Lesson 4: Dinner You may have heard that Jesus loves you, but what does that mean? On one of the most difficult nights of His life, Jesus took some extra time to show how powerful His love is, even for his enemies. Lesson 5: Live Why do we talk about Jesus, two thousand years after He lived on earth? Jesus did one thing that changed everything, for his friends, for his enemies, for every person today, and for you. Find out why we celebrate on Easter, and why we can be free from fear, because of what Jesus did. : The Next Act What s next? Team Time 14:00 Series Title Slide: and clear audio This is the very last week of our series called. In this series, we ve been getting to know someone who is super famous, a guy named Jesus. We re not looking at his life when He was in front of huge crowds or in the spotlight, though. Instead, we re learning what Jesus was like behind the scenes, at home, chilling with friends, and on road trips. Last week, we heard how Jesus gave His life for every one of us, and how He came back to life after He had died, which is what we celebrate every Easter. This week, we re going to ask the question, what does it mean to follow Jesus? What do I do? We ll talk about that in a bit, but first, let s have some fun with a game called Finish the Phrase. Game Title Slide: Finish the Phrase 5

In this game, I ll show you a common phrase people say. You ll have to work together with your group to guess what that phrase means. You ll talk about it, and your group leader will write down your guess on a piece of paper. Ready? You can find your leader by the flag with your grade on it! Do This: Make sure each leader has a piece of paper and a marker. You can come back to the front. A lot of things are different around the world, but we all have some things in common, too. We feel the same things, have dreams, and every person on earth is made and loved by God. We ll learn why that s so important in a couple minutes, but next up is our question of the day! QOTD Video (Auto Advance) QOTD Slide: What are your favorite pizza toppings? What are your favorite pizza toppings? Go ahead and talk about that with a couple people near you. Do This: Give kids about thirty seconds to talk with each other, then move on. Series Title Slide: Yum, pizza is delicious. We all like different things, my favorite kind of pizza is. Media: Part 1 6:00 Today, Rue and the Source team are asking some important questions about why all of us are different. Let s see what s happening with them this week. The Source: Part 1 (5:00) (Auto advance) Series Title Slide: What do you think is going to happen? You ll get to talk more about that in your groups! Look for your grade s flag and meet your group leader there! I ll see you in a few minutes. 9

Group Time 15:00 15:00 Group Time Countdown (Auto advance) Series Title Slide: Do This: Make sure each kid finds their group. Help group leaders if there is a need. Encourage kids as they work to answer the question. Know This: This is a time for kids to search for answers in the Bible, and see how they can use the Bible to investigate and better understand life. This time is designed for kids to interact and deepen their understanding. They won t get all the answers, but allow them to question and discover as much as possible. Be ready to support group leaders in any way needed. Do This: Give the groups a warning about one minute before this time is up. Media: Part 2 9:00 Alright, you can come back to the middle and find a spot to sit. Let s find out what happens to the Source team! The Source: Part 2 (9:00) (Auto advance) Series Title Slide: God gave every one of us such an important mission. Application 6:00 How amazing is that, you and I are part of Jesus story! We are all part of Jesus story. 10

That means God made you for an important reason. Jesus mission to tell everyone how much God loves them is a challenge for you and me, just like it was for His friends so long ago. When we tell people what Jesus did, how He died and came back to life, we re doing that mission. When we invite people to church, we re doing Jesus mission. Most of all, we want people to make the awesome decision to follow Jesus with their whole life. Series Title Slide: Getting someone to choose to follow Jesus isn t always easy, though. Sometimes, we might tell someone Jesus s story, and feel like they didn t understand. Or, you might invite someone to church, and they say no. That can be really discouraging. The thing is, not everyone is ready to follow Jesus the first time they hear about Him. Sometimes, they hear Jesus story for weeks, months, or years before they realize that they need to follow Him. If you tell someone about Jesus, invite them to church, or do something nice for them, and they don t decide to follow Jesus right then, that doesn t mean you failed. Look at this puzzle. Do This: Show kids a puzzle. I have to put this puzzle together one piece at a time, and every piece is just as important as all the others. If I looked at the first piece and said I don t know where this goes, so I won t even try, would I ever get the puzzle together? No. If I put together three pieces, and then said This is too big, I can t do this, would I ever get the whole puzzle together? No. When a group of people work on a puzzle, some of them might put in a ton of pieces, one by one. Others might help for a little, and some might just put in one piece. The thing is, without any one of those pieces, the puzzle wouldn t be finished. That s what someone deciding to follow Jesus might be like. Not always, but sometimes, it takes a lot of people, telling them a little about Jesus at a time, inviting them to church over and over, and doing nice things for them. Each of those things is like another piece of the puzzle, that when it s finished, they ll say I want to follow Jesus. 11

You can share Jesus love with someone today. Add a piece to their puzzle. Show them that God loves them. Whether it s the first piece or the last piece in their puzzle, it could have a big impact. Most of all, though, God is the one who is changing their life. If we want someone to follow Jesus, it s super important to pray for them, and ask God to help them, even when we can t. Worship Slide Worship 8:00 Next, we get to worship God. Whenever we talk, sing, or just spend time thinking about how amazing God is, that s called worship. I love to sing about how much God loves us, let s stand and worship Him together! Song #1: Higher than the Sky (Auto-Advance) Worship Slide God is amazing. Let s keep worshipping Him with another great song about His love. Song #2: Movin Me (Auto advance) Series Title Slide: It s great singing with you all. You can sit, but let s take a moment to talk to God. God, thank you for sending your Son, Jesus. Help us to share His story with others and let them know how much you love them. Amen. Wrap-Up 1:00 12
