Brother Tim is sending out a new monthly program to all Knights, which looks great. Tim will also post weekly lists o f activities to keep everyone up to date as well as posting things in the Church bulletin. This past month has been full of Knights of Columbus activities. May was the month for our Blessed Mother Mary, there was a beautiful Rosary by all O.L.P.H. schools groups, the Lady of Fatima procession, Mother s day carnations, children with disabilities weekend (thanks to all who helped with Jim Berg s guidance) and the Memorial Day walk from the V.F.W. Post to the Veteran s Memorial across from our Church. I would like to congratulate our future Grand Knight,, and future Deputy Grand Knight, Joe Boyle for stepping up to fill those offices. I would like to thank Pete for being there for me, especially when I needed a push in the right direction. Also, to my Brother Knights who gave me positive guidance particularly, Tim, Frank, Larry, Gerry, Fathers Richard and Cesar, Jim, Bill, Michael, John, Gene, Jack and Jack, Carmen, Joe B. and the Columbiettes. Please forgive me if I missed a name or two. In addition, I would like to thank Mr. Brian for taking my articles and making sense of them. You really do speak Joe!! I have to give special thanks to my wife, Mary, my son, family and friends and Ms. Kennedy for putting our weekly messages in the Church bulletin along with Fran. One last person I would like to thank is Mark Tilghman for taking the time to print the tickets for all our functions. May God Bless everyone and thanks for the memories, Joe Flatley, GK flatley-joseph@cooperhealth.edu EX OFFICO MEMBER Joe Flatley, GK

GRAND KNIGHT DEP. GRAND KNIGHT ADVOCATE CHANCELLOR WARDEN RECORDER INSIDE GUARD TRUSTEE, 3 YEAR COUNCIL NEWS Keep in mind, if you are a 3rd Degree member who missed last month s meeting and still wish to become an Officer, you can still run for office before the voting begins during the June Business Meeting. Brian Kohler, PGK 856-979-9462 or bdkohler@comcast.net Council Storefront If you had the chance to attend any of the recent Business Meetings, you have heard me talk about the Land s End Business Outfitter Program. I am happy to advise everyone, that the Council s Land s End Merchandise Storefront is now OPEN. Land s End has hundreds of different garments that you can select from and each one of them can have the Council logo directly embroidered onto the garment. The logo application fee is $8.50 per garment and you have the choice of location and thread color for most garments. Stop by the Members Room and look for the Catalog display and paper order forms. Even easier, is ordering and paying online with direct shipment to your home or apartment. Just use the link below to go directly to our storefront! https://business.landsend.com/store/council5714 When you arrive, be sure to create a user login and password the first time and stop by frequently to order your customized Council Apparel. Good Luck & Happy Shopping! The Council account number and the logo number are already associated with the storefront. Best Wishes & God Bless! Council 5714 Elections The nominations are in for our 2017-18 officers. The following Knights are our nominees: Joe Boyle, Jr. Joe Schwantes Stanley Radziejowski Joe Flatley, President, Maple Shade Home Association MORE COUNCIL NEWS Amazon Shopping Program I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all the Brothers, their friends and family members who have taken the time to use the Council s Our Amazon Link shopping button on the website. I have just downloaded the 1st quarter 2017 report and the report showed the following statistics: 27 Clicks of the button. 22 Unique Visitors. 32 Items ordered with 34 item shipped. Our tentative Commission is $11.71. That is obviously not as good and 4th quarter of 2016, but not bad for just shopping from your house. I intend to resend the Amazon article again in case someone is not aware of the program. There is NO easier way to assist the Council s charitable works than to just do your Amazon shopping through the Council website! Go to www.kofc5714.org and click on the our Amazon Program button right on top of our Home Page to participate. It really is that easy! Thank You for your support!!, Home Association President Council Events Much to my chagrin, we have not held any bountiful fundraisers in a while and the Treasury is taking a beating. We could really use a influx of revenue to bolster our bank account. To that end, the monthly Spaghetti Dinner restarted on May 19th with about 40 people in attendance. The next one is scheduled for Friday evening June 16th, so mark your calendar now! Also, Jim Berg is finishing up the Eagles Raffle Ticket sale, but only 4 or 5 gentlemen are participating. Tickets are only $ 5.00 a piece and you could win a trip to Arlington, Texas to see our Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys. Please see the link on the Council website landing page and click it to take you to the detail page where you can order your chances online!! Future events include a Oldies Dance Party scheduled for September 16th; Marc Reno as Neil Diamond scheduled for October 7th and either a Oktoberfest or Halloween event scheduled for late October. Please check the website and future issues of the Navigator for additional information and postings. Fraternally,, Home Association President

HOME ASSOCIATION NEWS Maple Room Information The month of May started off a little rocky when I was informed that our Insurance Policy billing had to be changed upward by $ 1,400.00! After several phone calls and email messages to our broker, it was determined that the original square footage of the building was only stated at 2,200 square feet. Obviously that is incorrect with the Maple Room alone being about 4,800 square feet. Apparently, the Inspector who came out back in February picked up on the mistake and policy had to be adjusted. We were required to issue a check in the amount of $426.00 and we financed the balance of the premium adjustment. Crisis averted!! From the scheduling standpoint, we have 3 consecutive Saturday s booked in June, which is great news, but we are a little weak in July. If anyone needs a facility, please keep us in mind. Remember, the best advertising is always word of mouth, so please talk up the The Maple Room to your family and friends. If you need to book an event or need additional information, just give us a call at 856-779-9863! Jim Berg or I will be able to assist you any way we can. Also, we are now into grass cutting season and the grounds could really use some tender loving care! I am going to put together a service project to clean up and beautify the grounds in the very near future. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!! Many Thanks and Best Wishes, Home Association President FIELD AGENT MESSAGE Ways To Pay For Whole Life We live in a world of options and we are constantly bombarded by choices. Some of these make our lives more complicated, but many of these choices are created with our satisfaction in mind. At the Knights of Columbus, every product we offer has been designed solely for the benefit of our members and their families. When I present an option to you, it s because a team of experts has discussed it at length to be certain it serves your best interest. We have a few options on how you can provide and pay for the whole life coverage that your family needs. Many whole life policies call for premiums to be paid for your entire life or to age 100. But we also offer permanent life coverage with guaranteed cash values (and the potential to earn dividends, which are not guaranteed) through policies that offer a limited period of premium payments. First, we offer 10 Pay Life and 20 Pay Life. Consider paying premiums for 10 or 20 years, and never having to pay for the coverage again. The plan is paid up and no more premiums are due. The plan stays in force, the death benefit remains intact and the guaranteed cash value continues to grow. A plan with similar benefits is Life Paid Up at 65. The difference over 10 or 20 Pay Life plans is that this permanent product requires you to pay premiums until age 65. Then, premiums stop (just in time for retirement), but the plan remains in force. Finally, the ultimate in limited pay is our Single Premium Life product. Imagine buying life insurance permanent life insurance and only paying one single premium? It s possible. To learn more about these products, our long-term care insurance, disability income or retirement products, please call me today. Michael D. Garofalo, PGK / Field Agent michael.garofalo@kofc.org or 732-397-4365 Want to keep up with current events of our Council? Be sure to visit our website for updated information.
